After hosting the Tony Awards, Cynthia Erivo and crew headed to the Russian Tea Room in New York, where award winners and celebrities decided to shed the formalities of the evening and skip to the celebration.

“I’m sick of talking. I think we should all dance now,” Erivo announced to the starry crowd, after being handed a mic while sitting on top of a banquette in a short black taffeta dress.

At the party, aptly named Cyn City, the Wicked star led a crowd up to the second floor of the famed New York venue, where a dance circle formed around her as Abba’s “Gimme Gimme” played. Dancers included Julianne Hough; Danielle Brooks, who starred in The Color Purple on Broadway with Erivo; Adrienne Warren, currently starring in The Last Five Years on Broadway; Dylan Mulvaney; and Lena Waithe, as the music transitioned to Beyoncé tunes and other pop hits.

Over 100 celebrities have signed a letter that is calling to protect the funds for LGBTQ youth suicide prevention programs. The letter comes in response to a leaked report that states the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services is planning to eliminate all funding for LGBTQ youth suicide prevention services.

“As artists, creators, and public figures, our platforms come with responsibility. And today, that responsibility is clear: we must speak out to protect the mental health and lives of LGBTQ+ youth. We will not stay silent,” the letter reads, per Variety.

The Trevor Project said today that it is at risk of losing $25 million in funding for its 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline’s LGBTQ+ Youth Specialized Services. The list of signatories includes Ariana Grande, Pedro Pascal, Daniel Radcliffe, Gabrielle Union-Wade, Dwyane Wade, Jamie Lee Curtis, Dua Lipa, Sabrina Carpenter, Cara Delevingne, Christina Aguilera, Troye Sivan, Sarah Paulson, Nathan Lane, Alan Cumming, Kelsea Ballerini, Tove Lo, Sophia Bush, Josh Hutcherson, Jonathan Van Ness, and many more across film, music, TV, sports, theatre, comedy, fashion, culinary arts, and book publishing.

The new musical Operation Mincemeat is now open on Broadway after taking London’s West End by storm!

Original cast members Zoe Roberts, Claire-Marie Hall, Jak Malone, Natasha Hodgson, and David Cumming walked the red carpet together at the opening night performance on Thursday (March 21) at the Golden Theatre in New York City.

The five actors, several of whom also helped co-write the musical, all starred in the West End production back in 2023 and they’ve brought the show to New York for a limited run. Originally scheduled to run for 16 weeks only, Operation Mincemeat has already extended its run two times due to popular demand and tickets are on sale through August 18.

Several celebs stepped out for the opening night performance, including Jesse Eisenberg, Samuel L. Jackson with director Kenny Leon, Dylan Mulvaney, and Sydney Lemmon.

The 48-year-old Emmy-nominated actor took his opening night now on Tuesday (March 18) at the Lucille Lortel Theatre in New York City.

Andrew co-created the new adaptation of the classic Chekhov play and he plays every role in the show!

The superstar singer has been singled out to receive the Mental Health Champion of the Year Award from the organization. The honor is meant to recognize “influential public figures who use their platform to advocate for mental health awareness and issues impacting LGBTQ+ young people,” per The Trevor Project. She’s the fourth honoree and joins a roster of recipients that includes Lil Nas X, Janelle Monáe and Dylan Mulvaney.

Since the premiere of Luca Guadagnino’s “Queer” at the Venice Film Festival in September, there has been an intense response from fans and media alike surrounding the revealing love scenes between star Daniel Craig and his on-screen paramour Drew Starkey.

When asked about the reactions to the on-screen sex at the Los Angeles premiere of “Queer” Wednesday night, Craig stated in a very matter-of-fact tone, “It’s pretty prudish to me.”

“Queer,” based on the 1985 novella by famed American beatnik William S. Burroughs, follows William Lee (Craig), a disillusioned American veteran who spends his days drinking and dopping in 1950s Mexico after fleeing a drug charge in his home country. The cast of “Wicked,” including stars Cynthia Erivo, Ariana Grande, Jonathan Bailey and Michelle Yeoh, celebrated the Universal Pictures release’s Los Angeles premiere Saturday night at the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion, walking the fittingly green carpet and posing for a buzzing line of photographers along the way.

Also in attendance were the Broadway production’s original stars, Idina Menzel and Kristin Chenoweth, the former of whom won the Tony Award 20 years ago for originated the role of Elphaba, played by Erivo in the film. Chenoweth originated the role of Glinda, played by Grande.

Longtime theater fans of the musical like Dylan Mulvaney also turned out to toast “Wicked,” as did Jennifer Lopez, “Abbott Elementary” Emmy winner Sheryl Lee Ralph, Sarah Paulson, Normani and many more.

It’s no coincidence that the new Netflix documentary “Will & Harper” was released just a few weeks before Election Day.

The film chronicles a cross-country road trip that Will Ferrell took with former “Saturday Night Live” head writer Harper Steele shortly after her transition.

“When we sat down with Netflix we made it clear that we wanted this out before the election,” Ferrell told me at the film’s Los Angeles premiere. “We wanted it to have enough runway for people to get to see it and hopefully start having important discussions in their living rooms.”

Since premiering at the Sundance Film Festival in January, Harper said that she’s been hearing from a “lot of parents and kids” who want to see the movie.

Will Ferrell is making it a family affair at the premiere of his new documentary!
