Peacock has released a trailer for the new Megamind movie and TV show, which are releasing simultaneously on March 1st. The movie, Megamind vs. the Doom Syndicate, is a direct sequel to the 2010 film and picks up where it left off. The TV show, Megamind Rules!, follows Megamind as he tries to become the first superhero influencer.

The new Megamind trailer teases both an animated movie and a television show. The original animated movie was released in 2010 and starred Will Ferrell in the title role as a supervillain with a huge brain who eventually learns to be heroic. Although it is technically a multimedia franchise that includes three video games, a short film, and a comic book series, there haven't been any further installments since 2011 beyond appearances by Megamind in DreamWorks branded games like 2019's Dreamworks Universe of Legends.
