Castle Freak (2020)
Return to the Creepy Albanian Castle in 'Castle Freak' Horror Trailer
Castle Freak (2020)
"Whatever's hiding in the walls – I think it lives here." Rlje Films has revealed the official trailer for an indie horror remake called Castle Freak, a brand new update of the original 1995 cult classic horror also titled Castle Freak directed by Stuart Gordon. The film is a "reimagining" of the original, starring Barbara Crampton (who is producing this new one). An Albanian castle with bloodthirsty creatures is inherited by a young woman. She must unravel her family's mysterious history before she too falls prey to the Castle Freak. This new Castle Freak stars Clair Catherine, Jake Horowitz, Chris Galust, Kika Magalhaes, Emily Sweet, Elisha Pratt, and Omar Shariff Brunson Jr. This looks uber creepy and extra gory, it also looks incredibly cliche and derivative, offering nothing but the same old horror tropes. Stay away from this castle. Here's the new official trailer (+ poster) for Tate Steinsiek's Castle Freak, direct...

Main Cast Revealed for Castle Freak Reimagining from Fangoria and Full Moon Features
Last year, it was announced that makeup effects guru Tate Steinsiek will direct a reimagining of Castle Freak, and now the main cast has been revealed for Fangoria and Full Moon Features' new take on Stuart Gordon's 1995 horror film.

According to multiple outlets, including Bloody Disgusting, the Castle Freak reimagining will star Clair Catherine, Jake Horowitz (The Vast of Night), Chris Galust (Give Me Liberty), Kika Magalhães (The Eyes of My Mother), Emily Sweet (Syn), Elisha Pratt (True Detective), and Omar Brunson.

A collaboration between Fangoria and Full Moon Features (who teamed up for 2018's Puppet Master: The Littlest Reich), the new Castle Freak is expected to start production in Albania in July. Steinsiek will direct from a screenplay by Kathy Charles, with legendary composer Fabio Frizzi contributing an original score for the film.

According to Bloody Disgusting, the new Castle Freak "follows recently-blinded Rebecca, her boyfriend John, and...

First Trailer for Sundance Favorite 'Luce' Starring Kelvin Harrison Jr.
"You don't conform to what she wants, and suddenly you're the enemy." Neon has debuted the first official trailer for an indie drama titled Luce, which premiered to some of the best reviews at the Sundance Film Festival earlier this year. This fascinating, brilliant "psychodrama" is about an adopted boy from a war-torn African country who becomes a high school all-star. But when a teacher accuses of him of being dangerous, and finds contraband in his locker, things start to get crazy. But who's really in the wrong here? The film masterfully makes you feel for both sides, unsure of what's really true or not, mirroring the complexities and nuances of real life. Kelvin Harrison Jr. stars as Luce, with a cast including Octavia Spencer, Naomi Watts, Tim Roth, Norbert Leo Butz, Andrea Bang, Marsha Stephanie Blake, Omar Brunson, Noah Gaynor, and Astro. This trailer quotes my glowing review from...
