Colleen Mooney is a versatile award-winning American actress known for her compelling performances in both drama and comedy. Born and raised in Minnesota with seven siblings, Colleen developed a passion for the arts early on, alongside a love for outdoor sports, including horseback riding, ice skating, and even tree climbing. This adventurous spirit also translated into her academic pursuits, leading her to a B.A. in Psychology from the University of Minnesota. Driven by her desire to perform, Colleen moved to Chicago and immersed herself in the city's vibrant theater scene. She honed her craft at prestigious institutions such as The Second City Training Center, The Acting Studio, and The Green Shirt Studio. Her dedication quickly led to stage productions and working with up-and-coming film directors. Colleen worked in roles on popular series including "Chicago P.D." (as Mariska Hargitay's stand-in), "Empire," and "Shameless." Demonstrating her talent and initiative, she independently booked over 40 lead and supporting roles in a diverse array of feature and short independent films throughout Chicago. Colleen landed her first co-star role opposite Uma Thurman and Tony Goldwyn in the Netflix series "Chambers."
