Ramey-Gay attended the Governors School of the Arts in Norfolk, Virginia; took a summer program at the North Carolina School of the Arts in Winston-Salem and a summer semester for acting for film at the Tisch School of the Arts in New York City; and graduated in 2013 from Shenandoah University in Winchester, Virginia with a Bachelors of Fine Arts in acting. Moreover, Gia is not only a model (she first started modeling at age sixteen), actress, and Latin dancer in Los Angeles, California, but also an animal rights activist, a certified yoga instructor, a professional salsa dancer, a volunteer worker, and even a guitar player.
