The Taylor Sheridan-created Paramount+ series has concluded production on its second season in Fort Worth, Texas, according to social media updates from cast members including Ali Larter and James Jordan. Filming began in late March and took the Landman team all across North Texas, including Fort Worth, Tcu’s campus, and nearby towns like Springtown, Benbrook, Jacksboro, and Cresson. Billy Bob Thornton confirms another Hollywood icon is joining Landman, this time all the way from Yellowstone.

Speaking to Deadline, Thornton discussed the characters who would be taking a more prominent role in the hotly-anticipated second season of Landman. While Thornton noted that both Andy Garcia's Galino and Demi Moore's Cami Miler would be stepping further towards center stage, he also name dropped "Sam Elliott, who I go back to the '80s with," quietly confirming the addition of yet another beloved Hollywood icon to the hit neo-Western series star-studded ensemble cast. Elliott previously appeared in the Yellowstone offshoot 1883, which was also created by Taylor Sheridan. Paramount+ has confirmed to Gold Derby the names of the 12 performers who will be submitted on the 2025 Emmys ballot for its show about the oil industry. The list is led by Billy Bob Thornton, who earlier this year received a Best Drama Actor Golden Globe nomination for his role of Tommy Norris, an abrasive petroleum Landman who comes to the oilfields of West Texas for work.

From the mind of Taylor Sheridan, this freshman drama series performed explosively last fall as the streamer's most-watched premiere of the past two years. Landman has already been renewed for a second season. Despite creating several popular shows that audiences devour en masse, Sheridan has yet to be recognized at the Emmy Awards. Jon Hamm features as Monty Miller in Landman, the latest series from Taylor Sheridan that’s streaming on Paramount+. The show follows Tommy Norris (Billy Bob Thornton), a Landman working for Monty’s oil company. Monty passes away at the end of Season 1 due to a lengthy battle with heart problems, and although his character is not expected back in Season 2, his absence will play a large part in the second season. During a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Hamm revealed how he thinks his passing will affect Cami (Demi Moore) as she takes on more responsibility in Landman Season 2:
