SurrealEstate Season 3 Episode 2 Recap: The Way Home’s Young Elliott Is Struck with Night Terrors!
Image
Welcome back to our coverage of all things related to the Roman Ireland Agency.

People aren’t exactly gobbling up this content, so I’ll be playing with it along the way to see if I can find a sweet spot that makes writing about it worthwhile.

What’s happening on SurrealEstate Season 3 Episode 2? I’m glad you asked.

(Albert Camicioli/SE3 Productions Inc./Syfy) Roman Ireland Client Mitch and His Son Jalen

Susan is selling Mitch’s house. She doesn’t tell him up front, but she was clearly looking for things in his house.

Then again, with as fast as he wanted to sell (Accepting the first offer? Red flag!), he was probably holding things back from her, too.

Julian and The Wind (2025) ‘Berlinale’ Review: Connor Jessup’s Dreamy Ode to Queer Yearning Is An Exquisite, Sweet Miracle
Connor Jessup
Connor Jessup’s short film “Julian and The Wind” is full of gorgeous, enveloping feelings. Watching it is like being ambushed by a swell of tickling sensations. So much seems fleeting, featherlight yet vital. In Jessup’s hands, the smallest of gestures have in their embrace a hurtling vastness of finely tuned emotional notes. From the opening itself, you’re ushered gently into a mysterious, soft, and billowing world. It’s a windy night in Ontario. It observes Arthur (David Webster) stealing a long, considered look at his boarding school roommate, Julian (Joel Oulette). The camera approximates his gaze drifting over Julian’s bare chest, a tiny slump of hair in its center. He’s interrupted when Julian suddenly begins to sleepwalk, straying out into the school grounds. Arthur can’t help but follow.

The film’s movement proceeds from the interiors to the external and finally sweeps back in,...

The Way Home Season 2: Cast, Release Date, Plot, and Everything Else You Need to Know
The Way Home (2023)
At first glance, The Way Home was an off-brand original series for Hallmark, thanks to time travel being utilized to tell a multi-generational story.

However, the series is synonymous with the heartwarming programming at the heart of Hallmark's schedule.

With The Way Home Season 2 in the works, TV Fanatic has rounded up everything there is to know about the hit series' upcoming season.

The Way Home Season 2 Renewal Status

Hallmark officially picked up The Way Home Season 2 in March 2023, revealing that the show had been a winner in the TV ratings in its Sunday night timeslot.

Even more impressive is that it beat out the likes of The Real Housewives of Potomac, 90 Day Fiance: The Other Way, and Home Town in key demographics.

The Way Home Season 1 was also the No. 1 most-watched program on Sundays among households, P2+, W18+, and P18+ on a L+Sd basis.

Band Of Brothers: Did Speirs Kill The Nazi Prisoners?
Image
Band of Brothers depicts the chaos and stress of war, but questions remain about the accuracy, such as whether Speirs killed prisoners on D-Day. Speirs' alleged stories of harsh killings circulate within his unit, including rumors about his treatment of Nazi prisoners on D-Day. The true story of Speirs remains murky and speculative, as reports confirm the "take no prisoners" sentiment during the Normandy landings.

Band of Brothers is a realistic depiction of war, but there are some questions about how accurate it is such as the lingering question of did Speirs kill prisoners on D-Day. The miniseries chronicles some of the real-life stories of the 101st Airborne's "Easy Company" during World War II. It depicts the sheer chaos and weighty, life-or-death stress that accompanies soldiers on the battlefront. One such soldier is Captain Ronald Speirs yet intense officer with a rumor asking did Spiers kill prisoners in Band of Brothers...

All Easy Company Soldiers Who Die In Band Of Brothers
Image
Band of Brothers accurately depicts the deaths of the main and recurring characters, showing the sacrifices made by soldiers in World War II. The deaths of minor soldier roles in the show can be harder to discern due to simultaneous events and the lack of character development. The deaths of the eight main characters killed on-screen are comparable to the real soldiers' deaths, showing the show's historical accuracy.

In the HBO miniseries, Band of Brothers, eight soldiers who are members of Easy Company and would be considered part of the main or recurring cast of the show die on-screen, while dozens of minor characters from the regiment also lose their lives. Band of Brothers follows Easy Company across Europe during World War II, expertly conveying the sacrifices these men made for the greater good. Band of Brothers has been celebrated for its accuracy in depicting the conflict, including the great...

Webster's Band Of Brothers Finale Change Actually Made Perfect Sense
Image
Private David Webster’s Band of Brothers finale may have seemed contradictory, but it actually made perfect sense. Throughout its 10-episode run, HBO’s hit World War II series introduced audiences to the men of E Company, the 506th Parachute Infantry Regiment that is otherwise known as Easy Company. This true story of how a tight-knit group of soldiers fought and won some of World War II’s most brutal and significant battles is rife with strong characters that evolve and change throughout the course of the series. Though the focus isn’t on all the characters of Easy Company, their transformations are still evident.

The character of Pvt. Webster is a peculiar one in many ways. His inclusion in the story of Easy Company is somewhat detailed at times, but he’s also often overlooked in favour of some of the other more familiar characters. Because he was a...

Evan Williams on The Way Home: "Prepare for All of Your Expectations to be Flipped Upside Down"
The Way Home (2023)
We're only two episodes into Hallmark's new family drama with a fantasy element, The Way Home, but we're already eager for more.

We had the chance to catch up with Evan Williams, who plays the adult version of Elliot Augustine, a long-time family friend of the Landry family.

Elliot is a part of the family's fabric and acts as Alice's tether as she navigates the past and present of his and her family's lives.

What are you most enjoying about playing Elliot Augustine?

That's a good one. I think Elliot is a really multifaceted character, which always fires my imagination.

What's really cool about this character is I get to play one dynamic with Alice, which is sort of the mentor, like the older generation in confiding wisdom and direction, and at the same time, a different dynamic with Kat, who is Alice's mother, which is, hopefully, more of a romantic,...

Larry Kramer, Playwright and AIDS Activist, Dies at 84
Image
Larry Kramer, the writer and influential gay activist who pressed the U.S. government and the medical establishment to respond to the AIDS epidemic, has died. He was 84.

Kramer died Wednesday from pneumonia, his husband David Webster told the New York Times.

Earlier in his life, Kramer was a screenwriter with credits including “Women in Love” and the 1973 musical “Lost Horizon.”

Spurred by the onset of the AIDS epidemic in the early 1980s, Kramer became a fierce activist and an impassioned writer, and one of the earliest and most vocal advocates for AIDS research, treatment access and institutional recognition of the gay community so hard-hit by the disease. He is best known not only as one of the founders of both Gay Men’s Health Crisis and Act Up, but also as the writer of novels and plays including his 1985 work “The Normal Heart,” his urgent, agitprop depiction of the early days of the AIDS crisis.

Nick Boshier is developing ‘Beached Az’ sequel
David Webster
Nick Boshier.

Nick Boshier and co-creators Anthony MacFarlane and Jarod Green are developing a long-form series of their animated comedy Beached Az.

That will be a sequel to Beached Aziversary, which Robot Army produced last year for Facebook, YouTube and Instagram, marking the 10th anniversary since Beached Az premiered on the ABC.

The 10 x 3′ online series followed the bizarre adventures of a philosophical, Kiwi-accented whale and his cocaine-addicted, murderous seagull friend. The unlikely couple had a steamy love affair which spawned a love child.

As part of the re-boot, the team launched a beer range, Beached Az Brew, in partnership with Sydney-based brewery Modus Operandi. A significant percentage of profits goes to charities which clean up beaches around Australia.

As lead writer Boshier is crafting the treatment and pilot for the Beached Az TV series with David Webster’s Cheeky Little Media and Ian Collie’s Easy Tiger.
