Image
One of the most acclaimed dramas of the past decade has found a new streaming home. Netflix has announced that all four seasons of Mr. Robot will become a part of their catalog on July 3. While Rami Malek's character is struggling to keep his life together, Darlene (Carly Chaikin) reveals that she's one of the hackers from the organization attempting to recruit her brother for very important assignments. The Spiderwick Chronicles has once again returned to the screens to remind fans of the mesmerizing story of the twin brothers Jared and Simon Grace and the magical Spiderwick Estate. However, this time, the storyline has been helmed a bit differently to make it all the more interesting and exciting in the eight-episode miniseries from the mastermind creator, Aron Eli Coleite.

In addition to Christian Slater as Mulgarath, season one stars Joy Bryant as Helen Grace, Noah Cottrell as Simon Grace, Lyon Daniels as Jared Grace, and Mychala Lee as Mallory Grace. Jack Dylan Grazer provides the voice of Thimbletack.

“The Grace family moves from Brooklyn, New York, to their ancestral home in Henson, Michigan, the Spiderwick Estate. Helen makes the move with her 15-year-old fraternal twin boys, Jared and Simon, and her older daughter, Mallory,” reads Roku’s synopsis. “Shortly after moving to the Spiderwick Estate Jared discovers a boggart and realizes that magical creatures are real!

Spiderwick Chronicles Reboot Debuts Trailer After Getting Rescued by Roku
Image
The first teaser trailer has arrived for The Spiderwick Chronicles, along with the reveal that the series will debut on April 19, 2024.

An all-new TV series adaptation based on the novel series, The Spiderwick Chronicles was previously in development for a streaming release on Disney+. In August 2023, it was revealed that Disney+ had opted not to move forward with the show as part of the streaming platform's cost-cutting measures. This was seen as a surprise at the time, as the show had already completed filming by that point. By October 2023, The Roku Channel acquired the U.S. rights to the abandoned series, and this also came with the reveal that the show would be upped to eight episodes, a bump from the original Disney+ order of six. On Wednesday, Roku unveiled the first teaser trailer, and it can be viewed below.
