Bachelor in Paradise season 9 doesn't premiere until the fall, but host Jesse Palmer has some advice for the upcoming contestants. Bip season 9 began filming in Mexico on June 6, and wrapped roughly two and a half weeks later. This means that the contestants had a very short amount of time to meet, fall in love, and get engaged. Last summer, several couples left the beach in relationships or engaged, but only one duo (Michael Allio and Danielle Maltby) is still together today. Jesse was there to witness it all, and he's now looking forward to the new season.
In an interview with E! News, Jesse previewed that the new season is, "wild," and offered advice to the Bachelor in Paradise season 9 hopefuls. Jesse said that they shouldn't come in, "laser-focused" to meet certain people, because those plans never usually come to fruition. Instead, he thinks that contestants should be open-minded and go on dates.

Fantasy Suite Week is never easy on The Bachelor, however, the week has become even more controversial among contestants in more recent years. Fantasy Suite week traditionally follows hometowns, and consist of the final three contestants having the opportunity to spend the night with the lead after also spending the day together. The lead has the option to be intimate with all three of their final contestants, although this has a habit of sparking controversy. Furthermore, there is historically always at least one contestant who tells the lead that they can't move forward if they choose to sleep with other contestants.
The Bachelor's Zach Shallcross' Fantasy Suite week recently aired, where he faced some difficult decisions. The Bachelor season 27 lead admitted that he didn't want to sleep with any of his final three women, as he wanted to save the special moment for the woman he ended up with at the end.

Natasha Parker, who co-hosts the Bachelor Nation Click Bait podcast which covers The Bachelor, The Bachelorette, and Bachelor in Paradise, has announced her exit from the popular show, citing issues with the franchise as her reason. Natasha first appeared on Peter Weber's season of The Bachelor in 2020, and then joined the cast of Bachelor In Paradise in the summer of 2021. Natasha's experience in Mexico was difficult, and she was heartbroken when she realized that she had been manipulated by love interest Brendan Morais, and the cast rallied around her. She was also a fan favorite, and officially began co-hosting Click Bait in January 2021 after guest hosting for weeks.
On a recent episode of Click Bait, Natasha announced that she is leaving the podcast, and that it was her last show. She opened up to co-host Joe Amabile about her decision, explaining that, although she really enjoyed working with him and current co-host Tia Booth,...

Bachelor in Paradise was created to give contestants from The Bachelor and The Bachelorette another chance to find love, but season 8 was more about creating drama, and therefore was the worst installment of the series ever. Bachelor in Paradise season 8 ended with Brandon Jones and Serene Russell getting engaged, along with Johnny DePhillipo and Victoria Fuller. In addition, Tyler Norris and Brittany Galvin left as a dating couple, and so did Michael Allio and Danielle Maltby. As of now, only Brandon and Serene and Michael and Danielle are still together. The other two couples had bitter breakups, and Victoria is now dating Greg Grippo. The only other couple who survived Paradise was Romeo Alexander and Kira Mengistu, who left together earlier in the season.

Fans were thrilled to see Michael join Bachelor In Paradise until his breakup with fellow fan-favorite Sierra. Spoiler Alert: Do not read if you have not watched the Sept. 14 episode of “Bachelor in Paradise.”
Brendan Morais and Pieper James made enemies last week as they rekindled their relationship on national TV. The two were accused of orchestrating a grand plan to generate followers on the beach, but left Natasha Parker as a casualty. Natasha was seeing Brendan before Pieper’s arrival, and he quickly ditched her to reunite with Pieper.
Chris Conran and Alana Milne were accused of something similar, and the cast bullied them off the beach during last week’s episode. With Chris and Alana’s exit, the group redirected their attention to addressing Brendan and Pieper. Demi Burnett called out the double standard of allowing them to stay, noting the cast let it slide since they were all friends with Brendan.
Despite that, Joe Amabile led the charge and confronted the couple with a few of the women.

The new arrivals once again disrupted paradise.
Two of the most teased newcomers arrived on Monday night’s episode of “Bachelor in Paradise”: Kendall Long, formerly of Arie Luyendyk Jr.’s season of “The Bachelor,” and Pieper James from Matt James’ season both came with history and their eyes on someone.
Kendall arrived and made a beeline to her ex-boyfriend, Joe Amabile. The two dated on Season 5 of “Bachelor in Paradise” for two years before calling it quits in early 2020. Joe — who had been spending time with Serena Pitt — was rattled by Kendall’s arrival but the two had a cordial conversation.
She admitted to still having feelings for Joe and said that not having him in her life had been difficult. The pair broke up due to their unwillingness to move,...

Spoiler Alert: Do not read if you have not watched the Aug. 31 episode of “Bachelor in Paradise.”
An eventful cocktail party dominated Tuesday’s “Bachelor in Paradise.”
The episode resumed with conflict between enemies Aaron Clancy and Thomas Jacobs over their love triangle with Tammy Ly. Tammy tried and failed to de-escalate Aaron, who was emotional and felt “betrayed” by her actions. Her cries were met with hostility, and the two ended their relationship before the rose ceremony.
Another love triangle was in the midst of exploding, as Karl Smith and Chasen Nick fought over Deandra Kanu. Karl had given Deandra a bracelet as a gift to show his affection, and Nick opted to give her a necklace to one-up the gesture. Deandra returned the bracelet to Karl, noting that she didn’t want to lead him on.
Nick’s gift rubbed Karl the wrong way, who accused him of trying to compete.

There’s trouble in paradise!
As new contestants arrived on the “Bachelor in Paradise” beach, established couples faltered. The first victims were Maurissa Gunn and Connor Brennan, who seemingly broke up after Maurissa’s overnight in the “boom boom room” with newcomer Riley Christian. Connor admitted to feeling “deflated” upon the news and reflected on Maurissa’s less-than-transparent recap of her date.
Even the most secure couples weren’t safe. Ivan Hall and Jessenia Cruz had been a steadfast pair since the beginning of paradise, but their foundation crumbled at the arrival of bromance duo Chasen Nick and Chris Conran.
Chasen and Chris met on Clare Crawley and Tayshia Adams’ season of “The Bachelorette.” The two became fast friends and entered paradise arm-in-arm with a double date card. Chris fixated on Jessenia from the start,...

Week two of “Bachelor in Paradise” began with the beloved cast title cards and introductions. Viewers then picked up from last week’s unexpected entrance where former cast member Demi Burnett returned to the beach.
The self-described “troublemaker” arrived with a date card and identified Brendan Morais as a potential suitor after meeting with Kenny and Connor. Brendan — who had recently been linked to Natasha Parker — accepted the invitation and headed to the date with Demi.
Natasha was disappointed by Brendan’s acceptance, as they expressed interest in each other during the first day. In addition to Natasha and Brendan, several other couples started to emerge: Tammy Ly and Aaron Clancy, Tahzjuan Hawkins and Tre Cooper, Maurissa Gunn and Connor, Mari Pepin-Solis and Kenny, Noah Erb and Abigail Herringer, Ivan Hall and Jessenia Cruz,...

After a two-year hiatus, “Bachelor in Paradise” returned to screens for the first time since 2019. Although this arm of the “Bachelor” franchise has been historically hosted by Chris Harrison, the series now sees comedian David Spade temporarily taking the reigns as the first of several celebrity guest emcees for the seventh season.
“Let’s re-meet the people we’ve already met 100 times,” he joked, as he segued into introductions.
Twenty-three contestants arrived on the beach over the course of six different franchise seasons. James Bonsall, Connor Brennan, Aaron Clancy, Tre Cooper and former villain Karl Smith joined from Katie Thurston’s recent season of “The Bachelorette.” Serena Chew, Jessenia Cruz, Abigail Herringer, “Queen” Victoria Larson, Victoria Paul, Serena Pitt and Mari Pepin-Solis arrived from Matt James’ run as “The Bachelor.

After dealing with more off-screen drama than occurs even down in Mexico, the tides of Bachelor Nation have calmed down and “Bachelor in Paradise” will be back with a brand new season this summer.
Returning for the first time in two years, following the industry-wide Covid-shutdown that halted production last year on “Bachelor in Paradise,” ABC’s guilty pleasure summer series will launch its seventh season on Aug. 16, bringing back a slew of fan-favorite alums who will continue their journey for love.
The new cast is comprised of 19 singles from past “Bachelor” and “Bachelorette” seasons — who will then be joined by more contestants showing up as surprise additions throughout Season 7 — at a romantic resort in Mexico.
The cast includes Abigail Heringer from Matt James’ season, who is the first-ever deaf contestant to be cast on “The Bachelor” franchise; Brendan Morais, a finalist who quit on Tayshia Adams’ season; Ivan Hall,...

Brendan Morais is opening up about his exit from The Bachelorette. Just one week after fans watched him end his relationship with Tayshia Adams, the commercial roofer from Massachusetts appeared on the Dec. 29th episode of The Viall Files podcast and reflected on his decision to leave the show. "I feel confident in the decision I made, for sure, and staying true to myself and how I felt in the moment," he said. "In hindsight, I definitely...I don't regret anything, but I'm still sad about it—absolutely still sad that that's the way it played out." For those who missed the episode, Brendan said goodbye during fantasy suites week. He told Tayshia he didn't take the idea of...

Ben Smith is hoping for a second chance after Bachelorette Tayshia Adams sent him packing during hometowns. During this week's two-night finale, the fitness coach surprised the Bachelorette just moments after Brendan Morais decided to leave. Ben's reason for returning? He's finally ready to share how he feels about her. On Monday night's episode, he confessed, "I blew it by not telling you in the moment. I've never felt this feeling so I was just terrified. But I am in love you. The life we could have together; the thought of that keeps me awake at night... I just had to tell you." The episode ended with Tayshia walking off, but...

Brendan Morais is speaking out after saying goodbye to Tayshia Adams on The Bachelorette. On Monday, Dec. 21, Bachelor Nation watched as the commercial roofer, who recently went through a divorce, told Tayshia he just wasn't ready to get engaged. After the tearful departure, Tayshia admitted during a confessional that she thought she'd end up with Brendan, which made his exit extra heartbreaking. After watching part one of The Bachelorette finale, Bachelor Happy Hour hosts Rachel Lindsay and Becca Kufrin spoke with Brendan about his decision to leave the show despite making it so far in the journey. "For me, what I set out to do since day one was just be myself...

Tayshia Adams had whittled away her Bachelorette contestant pool to the final three men ahead of the fantasy suites, but it looks like there may be a sliver of hope for Ben Smith stans following his elimination. During the Dec. 15 episode, Adams enjoyed thoughtful "hometown" dates around the La Quinta Resort and met family members of Smith, Ivan Hall, Zac Clark, and Brendan Morais. At the rose ceremony she wound up sending Smith packing, leaving him in visible shock over the decision, especially because he didn't have the chance to tell Adams that he'd fallen in love with her yet.
"The last two weeks showed me a lot about the things I was feeling for you," the 29-year-old personal trainer said, but he didn't drop the "L" word. Following his departure, Adams told the camera, "I'm not asking for this grand gesture, but the fact he couldn't give me one...

Last week, Tayshia Adam’s goodbye with contestant Ben Smith was less than satisfying. Disappointed at his lack of emotion, the titular Bachelorette sent him packing, leaving Brendan Morais, Zac Clark and Ivan Hall as her final three. All three headed to fantasy suites — the first real moment of potential privacy during an overnight date.
While Tayshia was still “riding the high” from hometown week, she revealed reservations going into fantasy suites to former Bachelorette (and fill-in host) JoJo Fletcher.
Meanwhile, host Chris Harrison filled in the men about the “more serious, more emotional, more intimate” week ahead. Ivan went first, leaving the other men reflecting on their own relationships.
“Hearing the other guys talk about where they’re at… I think I’m just in a different spot. There’s just been...

Typically, at this point in a season of “The Bachelorette,” viewers have a fairly strong idea of who the leading lady will pick as her future fiancé. But with Tayshia Adams’ two-part finale beginning tonight, a winner isn’t quite as obvious as it has been in past seasons.
Adams stepped into “The Bachelorette” as a replacement original star Clare Crawley, who found love early with contestant Dale Moss, therefore departing the season just a few weeks in. This was an unprecedented turn of events for the dating show. But host Chris Harrison says that the switch-up isn’t necessarily the reason why a clear winner hasn’t emerged.
“At the end of the day, she got pretty much the same exact amount of time that all the other Bachelorettes get,” Harrison says of Adams’ time dating on TV.
“I just think she doesn’t really have a type, which...

Tayshia Adams’ final four headed to hometowns! Well, sort of.
Traditionally, the last four contestants standing — in this case, Ben Smith, Zac Clark, Brendan Morais and Ivan Hall — would spend a day touring their hometown before introducing the Bachelorette to their friends and family. However, amid the Covid-19 pandemic, host Chris Harrison explained that the franchise was forced to make adjustments.
In lieu of a cross-country tour, each finalist designed their own “hometown date” at the La Quinta Resort & Club in Palm Springs, Calif., where the season was in production. The makeshift dates were an attempt to localize the desert resort, and give Tayshia a look into each man’s local lifestyle. Harrison then announced that the date would be followed by a visit from the men’s families — as each contestant was...

Tuesday’s episode of “The Bachelorette” picked up with the continued feud between contestants Noah Erb and Bennett Jordan. The two were scheduled for an impromptu two-on-one date with Bachelorette Tayshia Adams, where at least one constant would be sent home.
“Is this what goes on between you two? ‘Cause this sounds honestly like teenage boy drama and the fact that I have to sit here and listen to you guys talking about this is ridiculous,” she told them.
She took turns interrogating each man — questioning them about their intentions, their motivations, and their participation in the drama. With Bennett, Tayshia expressed frustration that he said there was “zero chance” that Noah and Tayshia would end up together, which she interpreted as questioning her judgment and her integrity.
