Johnnie Mack hails from Birmingham, Alabama and is a professional actor/writer/director living in Los Angeles. He has earned his BA from Alabama State University under the tutelage of Tommie "Tonea" Stewart, and his MFA in Acting from Brandeis University. In 2015 he was featured in the film JOY starring Jennifer Lawrence and Bradley Cooper directed by David O Russell. In 2016 Johnnie was awarded the Elliot Norton Award for Outstanding Actor for his role as Othello in Actors' Shakespeare Project's Othello in Boston, Massachusetts. More than just an actor, Johnnie also is very involved in inspiring the next generation of young artists. Johnnie has been dedicated to children's theatre by work shopping with young artists and has directed many high school productions.
