Robert Irwin honors his late father!

The 21-year-old Australian conservationist attended the annual Steve Irwin Gala on Saturday (May 10) in Las Vegas, Nev.

There, he took to the red carpet while wearing a tan suit, and was accompanied by fellow environmentalists Ashlan Gorse Cousteau and Philippe Cousteau Jr. He also posed with actress Nomzamo Mbatha and influencer Christian Wilkins.

At the event, Robert revealed that his 26-year-old sister Bindi could not attend this year due getting her appendix removed.

The 42-year-old Prince of Wales organized the annual ceremony, which started in 2021. Each year, five winners are honored for their efforts in taking care of and protecting the environment.

Stone moved to Stockholm nearly four years ago when ICM Partners – prior to its CAA acquisition – took a minority stake in Swedish agency Albatros. In London, CAA rival UTA acquired storied British agency Curtis Brown in 2022.

Details of CAA’s move to centralize global TV to the U.S. and London are still being ironed out and there could be more strategic shifts to come, we understand. A spokesman for CAA, which employees about 3,400 people, declined comment.

Veteran filmmaker Norma Percy is producing two additional episodes of her seminal Putin vs the West documentary series for the BBC and Arte France. Zinc Media’s Brook Lapping and Les Films d’Ici are attached to co-produce Putin vs the West: War (working title) , which will cover Russia’s invasion of the Ukraine, the proceeding war and the response from the West. The first three episodes explored Putin’s relationship with the West, from the invasion of Crimea to the brink of its wider invasion of Ukraine. “As we always do, we will take viewers behind the scenes to show how and why the crucial decisions were made, and what it was like for Ukraine’s President Zelensky, Britain’s Prime Ministers and Western leaders as they struggled against Putin’s invasion without provoking World War Three,” said series producer Percy.

BBC Studios has licensed the immensely popular “Top Gear” format to Finland’s Nelonen channel and Ruutu streaming service to create a Finnish adaptation of the long-running and Emmy-winning series. The Finnish adaptation will be presented by comedian, musician and author Ismo Leikola, former elite Ice hockey winger Teemu Selänne and actor Christoffer Strandberg. It will air in the spring of 2024.

Set in the world of cars and driving, the show will see Leikola, Selänne and Strandberg compete in various car-related challenges to determine who among them is the ultimate driver.

The license to Finland is the 11th adaptation of the format globally. “Top Gear” began in the U.K. in 1977, where it has run for 33 seasons. However, the U.K. version has been paused after host Andrew Flintoff was involved in an accident on the show’s test track in December 2022.

The series is set in 1700s and will also star Lemogang Tsipa and newcomer Ntando Zondi, who will both play Shaka at different ages, Thembinkosi Mthembu as King Dingiswayo and Senzo Radebe as King Senzangakhona.

Saban Films has acquired North American rights to “Soul Assassin” starring Bruce Willis, Nomzamo Mbatha and Barry Jay Minoff, the company announced on Friday.

Jesse Atlas both directed and wrote the revenge thriller alongside Aaron Wolfe, based on their short “Let Them Die Like Lovers.” Jeff Elliott produced, and 120dB Films co-financed the film with Elliott’s Brickell and Broadbridge.

The deal also includes rights for “Soul Assassin” in Australia, New Zealand, Austria, Germany, Switzerland, Spain, France, South Africa and Scandinavia.

On Saturday’s broadcast of Vax Live, Ben Affleck appeared alongside Jimmy Kimmel to celebrate the return of the shared experiences that we’ve all missed over the past year.

In Soul Assassin, a woman’s husband is killed in action as part of an experimental new military program. A former black-ops soldier then takes his place to find his killer. Production is expected to start in early June.

The event will air and livestream on Saturday, May 8, 2021 on ABC, ABC News Live, CBS, YouTube, iHeartMedia broadcast radio stations and the iHeartRadio App, at 8:00 Pm Et/Pt, 7:00 Pm Ct.

The concert will also air on Fox at 11:00 Pm Et/Pt.

“Coming 2 America,” the long-awaited sequel to Eddie Murphy’s 1988 “Coming to America,” was the most-streamed title in the U.S. the week of its premiere, according to new Nielsen data.

The movie, released March 4 on Amazon Prime Video, drew 1.413 billion minutes of total viewing for the week of March 1-7 among U.S. viewers, per Nielsen’s SVOD Content Ratings estimates. African American viewers accounted for 40% of the film’s audience, according to the media measurement firm.

That put “Coming 2 America” ahead of every other TV show or movie on major streaming subscription services for the period, according to Nielsen — and represents Prime Video’s first No. 1 spot on the rankings.

The next most-viewed title for that week was Netflix original series “Ginny & Georgia” with 1.16 billion minutes over 10 episodes, followed by reruns of “Criminal Minds” on Netflix (929 million minutes) and Disney Plus’ “WandaVision” (924 million minutes). Also notable...

While Shari Headley’s Lisa McDowell captured fans’ attention and Akeem’s (Eddie Murphy) heart with her confidence and headstrong attitude in the 1988 original, “Coming 2 America” boasts a new crop of ladies who are ready to speak their minds and take their rightful place at the center of Zamunda’s legend, including KiKi Layne, Bella Murphy, Akiley Love and Nomzamo Mbatha.

“I’ve been watching this movie since I was a little kid. I wasn’t even born when the first one came out,” Layne, who plays Akeem and Lisa’s eldest daughter Meeka, tells Variety. “They never stop being funny, but for a lot of people that [movie] was the first time that people in African culture were represented [onscreen] as kings and queens, and rich, and had a wealth of resources and knowledge.

Craig Brewer is a white filmmaker not unaccustomed to Black-centered stories. Now that all that nasty February snow has finally melted away, many minds are filled with thoughts of travel, perhaps to an exotic destination. Or could you be yearning to revisit an old familiar spot, somewhere filled with laughter and dear friends from long ago? Sure with the vaccines rolling out, things are looking a lot brighter than last March (the last theatre advance screening was exactly a year to the weekend), but you may want to hold off before hitting those “getaway” websites. Why not combine those desires into a virtual reunion, mostly set in an exotic land that’s been in your movie dreams for nearly 33 years? That’s the major selling point for this weekend’s highly anticipated sequel. After his more-or-less traditional “final fade-out” happy ending in 1988, Prince Akeem boards the royal jet for Queens, NY for Coming 2 America.

I don’t envy the job of anyone tasked with taking a classic Eighties comedy — Coming to America, say — and making a decades-later sequel that tries to please its guaranteed audience. Namely, everyone who loved the original, people who’ve rewatched it a million times, who have Soul Glo memes saved on their phones, who know every word to Sexual Chocolate’s song who — as in my case — grew up in families where Coming to America was probably the only consensus movie that everyone from my grandmother down to myself...

It’s hard to imagine a comedy like “Coming to America” getting made today, which means that only Eddie Murphy could resurrect it. Anyone unfamiliar with that movie’s legacy — and, 33 years on, those people are really missing out — will find “Coming 2 America,” the long-awaited followup, amusing in parts. Before watching Coming 2 America, try to think of some successful comedy sequels. If the best you can conjure up is Wayne’s World 2 or 22 Jump Street then that really speaks for itself, doesn’t it? More difficult than the traditional comedy sequel is the many-years-too-late variety of retread. Just ask Zoolander 2 or Dumb and Dumber To. Rehashing the same jokes and running them into the ground, reusing the old beloved catchphrases, and hitting the same story beats typically set comedy sequels up for failure, no matter how nostalgic audiences may be for the original.
