The Mule: The True Story Behind Clint Eastwood's Drug Movie
Image
Clint Eastwood's The Mule is inspired by the true story of Leo Sharp, an elderly war veteran who became a prolific drug trafficker. Earl Stone, portrayed by Eastwood, was a successful horticulturist whose business failed due to the internet, leading him to transport drugs for a cartel. The Mule made significant changes to the true story, including the duration of Stone's drug-running career and the portrayal of his character as a more sympathetic figure.

Clint Eastwood's The Mule true story follows the life of a World War II veteran who ultimately becomes the oldest — and one of the most prolific — drug traffickers in the history of the United States. Eastwood stars as Earl Stone with Bradley Cooper as DEA Special Agent Colin Bates. With a supporting cast including Laurence Fishburne, Michael Peña, Ignacio Serricchio, and Dianne Wiest, The Mule follows Stone, a horticulturist and Korean War veteran who earns...

Blake Shelton’s Charity Work Is Part of His Path to Hollywood Walk of Fame
Image
Blake Shelton stays busy with his music career, a bit of acting and a lot of career coaching on “The Voice.” He’s been on the series since the beginning, and his picks have won nine times and counting over the show’s 22 seasons. But despite his busy schedule, he returns to his Oklahoma roots time and time again for relaxation and philanthropy.

Though Shelton moved to Nashville after high school, he remains connected his home state with a 1,300 acre ranch near the town of Tishomingo. As an avid outdoorsman, it stands to reason that he’d support nonprofits with the same values.

The Oklahoma Wildlife Conservation Foundation launched about four years ago and Shelton was one of the first to come on board with his support. While the organization is part of the State Department with a mission to protect, preserve and conserve wildlife and natural spaces, they don...

Marvel Snap's Rocks Have Replaced an Iconic Marvel Species
Image
In Marvel Snap, one of the most annoying cards players can receive is 'Rock' - a zero-attack card which certain locations and characters add to the deck, and which is then drawn in the place of a more useful card. However, when looking at Marvel lore and Marvel Snap's locations, this irritating card has actually taken over for an iconic Marvel species. - and their erasure from Marvel Snap is yet another injustice committed against these underground dwellers.

In Marvel Snap, there are several characters who can add Rocks to the deck or locations, including Korg and Debrii. These make sense given the power or physiology of the heroes in question. However, the locations tell a different story. The locations which can create rocks are Subterranea, which shuffles 5 rocks into each player’s deck when revealed, and Lechuguilla, which shuffles 3 into a deck only when a player reveals a card at the location.

Sister of Calif. House of Horrors Mom Alleges They Were Sexually Abused as Girls
Megyn Kelly in Megyn Kelly Presents (2016)
The younger sister of the California mom accused of abusing her 13 children alleges she and Louise Turpin were sexually abused as children by a relative.

Teresa Robinette opened up about her family’s “big secret” during an appearance Monday morning on Megyn Kelly Today, alleging that multiple female family members were abused.

Robinette told Kelly the allegedly abusive male family member was never held accountable for his actions, and was instead protected by their older relatives. She claimed the man molested her, Louise, and other relatives.

Robinette was on the program to discuss the arrests of her 49-year-old sister and her 57-year-old brother-in-law,...

Journals Kept by 13 Children Allegedly Held Captive Will Be 'Powerful Evidence' Against Parents
The 13 children found malnourished and shackled in their Perris, California home were allegedly deprived of many things by their parents including regular meals, access to lavatories, and daily showers. But there’s one thing investigators have found they were given: journals to write their stories.

In an interview with ABC News, Riverside County District Attorney Mike Hestrin said that “hundreds of journals” have been recovered from the children’s home — material he thinks will likely be able to document what was happening inside the “house of horrors” in real time.

“My guess is that’s going to be powerful evidence...

Schoolmate of Dad Suspected in House of Horrors: 'I Don't Know What Happened to Him, But Something Did'
A man who years ago attended school with the California father accused of abusing his 13 children and holding them captive tells People he’s shocked to see news reports about someone he described as a “good, quiet person back then.”

Mike Gilbert attended Glenwood School and Princeton High School with David Turpin in Princeton, West Virginia, and last saw Turpin in 1979, he says.

Turpin, 57, and his 49-year-old wife, Louise, pleaded not guilty on Thursday to multiple charges after being accused of a litany of crimes against their kids — including keeping them prisoner inside their Perris, California, home, with some shackled to the furniture.
