Death Down the Aisle begins with the tantalizing image of a bride, Malorie (Jess Brown), dressed in a wedding dress splattered with blood.
This is a brief (unnecessary) in media res opening before writer Audrey C. Marie jumps the action back to earlier in the day. It’s the day of the wedding, Malorie is preparing to wed Jon (David Alexander) and there’s a whirlwind introduction of wedding guests, many of whom are either family, work associates from Jon’s legal firm, or both.
Most of these relationships aren’t clear until after Jon’s death (this isn’t a spoiler; his death is heavily telegraphed by director Roxanne Boisvert). Only after the murder does it become clear that Death Down The Aisle is primarily interested in exploring red herrings, gossipy busy bodies, and characters making A Lot of phone calls.

I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again: nothing can beat a Lifetime thriller if you shut off your brain and just want to have a good time. Their new entry to the genre is Roxanne Boisvert’s Our Mother’s Secret Affair. The film isn’t as gross as the title suggests, but it’s interesting enough to keep you hooked until the very end. A simple, modest, not too try-hard thriller that doesn’t lose focus on the main point, this Boisvert movie does everything right except the fashion choices of the characters.

Lifetime’s low-budget production about teenage pregnancy and conspiracies about selling these babies to highest bidders forms the basic premise of Roxanne Boisvert’s Don’t Sell My Baby, aka Danger Rocks the Cradle. Within the first 15 minutes of the movie, you know what’s about to happen and that it’s going to be a happy ending when there’s an overly helpful English teacher with kind eyes who’ll do anything to help a 16-year-old brat. We watched the movie and made a recap of the whole thing so that you don’t have to, and after reading it, you can be the judge if you’d want to watch it firsthand. Here’s a detailed summary and ending of Don’t Sell My Baby.
