‘A Weird Kind Of Beautiful’ Review: An Intense Single-Location Drama With Electrifying Performances
Image
It’s very rare nowadays to be bowled over by a film, and there are multiple reasons for that. For me, it’s overconsumption of content. I mean, it’s the 4th month of the year, and I have already watched over 100 films and 23 TV shows; it’s mental. And although I love loving entertainment, being in this profession comes with the curse and boon known as foresight. Hence, I generally don’t need to watch teasers and trailers to decide if I want to watch something or be excited for it; I can just read the blurb and arrive at a conclusion. On top of that, almost everything is a remake, reboot, sequel, prequel, requel (something that’s a reboot and a sequel), biopic, or adaptation of an IP with a built-in fan base, because producers are too afraid to bet on something original. So, you rarely have that element of surprise.

Where To Watch Flight Risk: Showtimes & Streaming Status
Image
Mel Gibson directs a new movie starring Mark Wahlberg, as Flight Risk gives audiences an opportunity to watch the star actor play a villain. The anticipated 2025 action movie centers around a witness being taken to trial by a U.S. Marshal, only to learn that the pilot flying the plane is actually a hitman hired to kill him. Wahlberg stars as the hitman, with Topher Grace playing the witness and Michelle Dockery playing the U.S. Marshal. Flight Risk is directed by Mel Gibson, marking the first film he's directed since 2016's Hacksaw Ridge.

The original action thriller has distribution by Lionsgate. The film has an exclusive theatrical release first before it becomes available on streaming or digital at home. However, audiences had to wait longer for Flight Risk than anticipated, as Mark Wahlberg's villain role return was originally meant to happen in October 2024. Instead of releasing it in a...

Mark Wahlberg Flies Against Type For Mel Gibson in 'Flight Risk' Trailer
Image
There's trouble brewing in the skies in Mel Gibson's upcoming movie, Flight Risk. A new trailer for the action thriller has dropped, teasing a tense and violent aerial ride.

Mark Wahlberg stars — in an undoubtedly un-Whalberg-ian role — as the film's villain, a hitman pretending to be a pilot named Darryl Booth, who is transporting Air Marshal Madelyn Harris (portrayed by Downton Abbey's Michelle Dockery) and a man named Winston (That '70s Show's Topher Grace). When Grace's Winston notices that Wahlberg is not exactly who he says he is, all hell breaks loose. The adrenaline-filled trailer, which you can watch below, claims that the film is so intense, that "you don't watch it, you experience it."

We last saw Wahlberg in a villainous role in 1996's Fear, when he played a very jealous teen boyfriend, so seeing him step outside the norm as a determined hitman should be a fun ride.

After five years of collaboration with his talented friends, family, and students, Shellfish finally premiered in 2021.
