Marvin Akanyi was born in Adikpo, Benue State in Nigeria to Pius and Philomena Akanyi. In 2013, he completed his Bachelor's Degree in Mass Communication at Covenant University. With inspiration from films like The King's Speech, The Lion King and Sunset Boulevard he went ahead to attain a Masters Degree in film making in Los Angeles, CA. He has gone ahead to build a career as a Writer/Director/Assistant Director.
