[Warning: The below contains Major spoilers for The Buccaneers Season 2, Episode 5, “A Whole Love.”] The Buccaneers is keeping fans on their toes after the latest episode, “A Whole Love,” which saw Theo (Guy Remmers), Duke of Tintagel, run through the streets of London to disrupt Lizzy Elmsworth’s (Aubri Ibrag) wedding to Hector Robinson (Jacob Ifan). The big question is whether she’ll go through with the marriage or not, as the episode ended before Lizzy made a decision. Turning up moments before she’s set to enter the church, Theo begs her for a word and asks her to reconsider the marriage, even if they can’t be together because of his marriage to her friend Nan (Kristine Frøseth) and his role as a Duke. Theo tells Lizzy that she deserves a great love like theirs, and if Hector can give it to her, then she should go through with the wedding, but if not, then...

Apple TV+’s The Buccaneers has taken the period drama by storm, establishing itself as one of the boldest shows of the genre. Despite being historically accurate with regards to the rule-bound high society of London, it rejects the conventions that obstructed it from pushing the limits of storytelling. This unique blend of mixing tradition with contemporary ideas has made Season 1 a rebel that has left some people scratching their heads.
With Season 2 of the show here, people are excited to watch it. Well, the plot and cast definitely have a big part in it. Moreover, to expand its reach, the Apple TV+ Original has found a temporary shelter in Prime Video. With that being said, the real question remains: When can we stream it?

A few shows are masters of suspense, keeping viewers on the edge of their seats right up until the very end of an episode, leaving them desperately wanting more. The Buccaneers did exactly that with their Season 2, Episode 5, “A Whole Love.” I am shaken to the core. And believe me when I say this, I am shaken!
With its new episodes airing weekly, this significant episode of all left me in a frenzy with the biggest question: What will Lizzy do now? Episode 5 ends where Lizzy finds herself in a situation to either choose to marry Hector or leave it be, given her love for Theo. What layer will unfold when the former makes her choice?

In a recent interview, The Buccaneers cast opened up about a shared concern, which is avoiding the dreaded “second season curse.” While the statement, “We don’t want to be the next George Clooney of the franchise,” may come out of left field, the joke refers to Clooney’s infamous stint as Batman, something that he is still ashamed of.

Following its first successful season, the show returned, premiering its second season on June 18, 2025. At long last, Season 2 of The Buccaneers is almost here on Apple TV+ to pick up with the titular young American women after their explosion onto the scene in Gilded Age London back in 2023. Although things began in high spirits as the ambitious and extroverted friends navigated English high society and courted suitors, the Season 1 finale left things on a bleak note, with each of the women forced to accept a reality they did not desire. Chief among them is Nan (Kristine Frøseth), who marries a man she doesn't love to become the Duchess of Tintagel, the most influential woman in the country, to protect her sister, Jinny (Imogen Waterhouse), from the wrath of her abusive husband. Collider now has an exclusive sneak peek from the premiere showing how Nan is dealing with the fallout of giving up the rest of her life with a little support from Conchita (Alisha Boe...

Conchita is Lady Brightlingsea, heroine to a wave of young American heiresses. And Jinny is on every front page, wanted for the kidnapping of her unborn child. Apple TV+ is set to return for the second season of The Buccaneers on June 18th, 2025. This is a period drama adapted from an unfinished novel by Edith Wharton, set in the 1870s. The series follows 5 American women as they enter the London high society, in the hopes of finding husbands.
Nan, Conchita Closson, Jinny St. George, and the Elmsworth sisters, Mabel and Lizzy, find their way through the rigid norms of the British aristocracy. The season ended with major draw dropping revelations, including Nan’s real family and her spontaneous wedding to Theo. As season 2 is around the corner, with a promise of deeper exploration of this societal period tale, let’s have a look at everything we need to recap from the previous season.

Boy oh boy are we excited about The Buccaneers season 2 on Apple TV+! The first season of the historical drama certainly brought with it romance, twists and turns, and big plot twists we didn't see coming. I have no doubt that the second season will be the same, and it looks so intriguing based on the trailer.
The Buccaneers season 2 premieres Wednesday, June 18, 2025 with the first episode on Apple TV+. The release schedule will remain the same through the finale, which will debut on Aug. 6, 2025. There's a total of eight episodes, just like season 1. Ready to check out the trailer? Watch it below!
What to expect from The Buccaneers season 2
Ok, wow. Where do I begin? Well, Nan and Theo are in honeymoon bliss. At least, Theo is. Nan, not so much. She's clearly trying to put Guy behind her and forget about him, though it's much easier said than done.

After two weeks since making its return, BBC One’s TV series Rogue Heroes Season 2 has already garnered very promising reviews from critics. Prior to the latest installment’s premiere, fans had a two-year waiting period, after the World War II drama had wrapped up Season 1’s 6-episode run on BBC One.
Per review aggregator Rotten Tomatoes, Rogue Heroes Season 2 has officially received a perfect Tomatometer score, based on five reviews. As Jack Seale of the Guardian said, “With its sober view of sacrifice and its clever use of extreme adversity to bring out different facets of the male psyche, Rogue Heroes earns its stripes, but be reassured that with all that groundwork in place it is, primarily, a right old romp.” Directed by Stephen Woolfenden from a screenplay written by Peaky Blinders creator Steven Knight, the first four episodes of Season 2 are now available for streaming on the BBC iPlayer in the U.

Apple TV+'s newest adaptation of The Buccaneers has already impressed in its first outing, and here's what we know about the second season. Based on the eponymous Edith Wharton novel which was published posthumously, the story follows a group of American women during the 1870s who travel to England in order to secure wealthy husbands. Intentionally anachronistic and playful, The Buccaneers used Wharton's novel as a framework for yet another period dramedy. The clash of cultures takes center stage, and it offers commentary on the repressive elements of contemporary culture.
Throughout its first season, The Buccaneers has received high marks from critics who praised its over-the-top and anachronistic execution, and its feminist message (via Rotten Tomatoes). Despite its critical success and its obvious originality, The Buccaneers lives in the shadow of shows like Bridgerton which helped to spearhead the modern period piece movement that has focused on rewriting history through playful inaccuracy.

Viewers will probably know whether “I’ll Find You” is of interest just from hearing one typical line of dialogue: “No matter what happens,” our handsome Catholic hero promises his beloved Jewish girlfriend when the Nazis invade Poland, ‘We’ll always be together.’”
It’s not much of a spoiler to say that this World War II drama is also an unabashedly old-fashioned romance. But it’s nice to be able to add that — thanks to the expertise of director Martha Coolidge — it’s a particularly polished one.
Violinists Rachel Rubin and Robert Pulaski meet as children, while attending a prestigious music school in Lodz run by Lena (Connie Nielsen).

It’s the beginning of the end on A Discovery of Witches. In the TV adaptation’s third and final season, Diana and Matthew return to the present to face a personal tragedy and deep political division among the creatures. The forces of conservatism seek to preserve the separation between vampires, witches and daemons; while reformers wish to dismantle the status quo. Threats from the Book of Life, the Oxford blood-rage killer, the Congregation and Peter Knox all continue, while Diana comes into her prophesied role as the witch who will change everything.
Joining the existing characters in the ongoing battle are newcomers Fernando (Olivier Huband), Ransome (Parker Sawyers), Geraldine (Genesis Lynea), Dr Roberts (Ivanno Jeremiah), and actor Toby Regbo. Season three also welcomes Peter McDonald, who takes over the existing role of Baldwin St Clair from Trystan Gravelle. Find out more about them all below, with mild spoilers right at the end.

US network Epix has become the first international buyer of Peaky Blinders creator Steven Knight’s BBC1 drama Sas: Rogue Heroes.
Epix struck the deal with distributor Banijay Rights for the six-parter, which is produced by Banijay-backed Kudos alongside Knight’s indie Nebulastar and tells the story of how the Sas was formed under extraordinary circumstances in World War Two.
Developed for TV by Knight from a book penned by Ben Macintyre, the series stars Dominic West, Jack O’Connell, Sex Education’s Connor Swindells and Alfie Allen (Game of Thrones), with Swindells leading as a founder Sas member who becomes convinced that traditional commando units don’t work and creates a radical plan that flies in the face of accepted rules of modern warfare.
The deal was negotiated by Matt Creasey, Banijay Rights’ EVP Sales, Co-Productions and Acquisitions, and marks the show’s debut international sale.
