Born in Dubai, UAE Sam Akel is a compassionate driven human, multifaceted actor & stunt performer with powerful facial expressions, body movements that could display wildly furious emotion to heart-touching face. The natural, somewhat serious face, shifting to comedic gestures, surprised or shocked face fits perfectly.
He studied Fine Arts & graduated from American Intercontinental University(AIU) in Atlanta, Georgia in 1999. He was keen in working in Special Effects for Film in the states but that did not happen so he went back to United Arab Emirates. He worked in Media & Advertising for 15 years as well as startups but his passion for the film industry never stopped. So he started pursuing acting & stunts in 2016.
Sam Akel traveled to Atlanta, LA, NYC, Vancouver, Copenhagen & London to pick up skills in Fighting. He trained in LA Stunts for Film & TV, XMA, JAM, Blast and shot fighting scenes with the likes of Chris Brewster(Daredevil), John Nania(The Falcon & Winter Soldier), Kim Do in LA; he also worked with 2nd Unit Director Vlad Rimburg(Lucifer) & Travis Wong on another Fight Scene in 2018.
Sam Akel was also a co-producer on 'Code8' & when he is not acting, he produces & directs inspirational content & short films some which have won 6 film festival awards including Best Inspirational Film & Best Actor.
Sam Akel took part in 'Vanguard' which was filmed in Dubai and had the opportunity to talk with Jackie Chan on set who gave him few tips for the upcoming scene. Sam Akel acted as a Hospital for 'Dalma' shot in Abu Dhabi. He also acted as a Police Officer on 'Yellow Bus' (Showtime Film) and acted opposite Bollywood Actress Tannishtha Chatterjee & Arab Actress Kinda Alloush.
He is a fitness enthusiast and trained Parkour for 5 years.
