Susan Austin, was born in 1969 Bowen, QLD Australia and is a Gold Coast based Producer, writer and talent manager in the Film, TV and Theatre industry. Susan has a track record, for successfully managing projects from conception, to their completion as well as managing all aspects of her talent's careers, in her boutique agency. Her first production 'Apparitions' was Awarded 2015 BEST SHORT HORROR FILM, in the REEL Horror Film Competition, held by Village Roadshow Theme Park: Movie World. The film was then transformed into a Maze for their Fright Nights Festival. Since then, Susan has completed a short film 'Beautiful Scars' which won the Audience Choice Award - Mental Health Category in the 2018 SCREEN IT Film Festival.
Susan Produced a TVS Concept Pilot HTSTAWS - "How to Survive the Apocalypse with Style" a Story Susan developed, together with her Actor son - David James Austin, where they are developing further episodes for the series. 2019 -22, Susan has co-written and is co-producer for a Crime TVS, titled "Redlakes" and has optioned the rights to a Novel "Summerset Valley" to Produce into a TV Series. Susan is working on further seasons and pitch documents for all projects, for the upcoming 2022 Screen Forever Conference, with the aim of securing Network Commissioners, for Co-Production or interested buyers.
Susan's Production house 'Flaming Furnace Films Pty Ltd' continues to Produce content for talent, on platforms such as You-Tube and Vimeo, including actor show reels / self-tapes and has a slate of upcoming Documentaries in the pipeline.
Further to film projects, Susan is well respected in the Gold Coast Community Theatre scene, having Produced and Co-directed several plays, including the '2019' sold-out season of 'The Addams Family' Musical, at the Gold Coast Little Theatre.
