Another week, another episode of Aew: Dark which, after the incredibly short Elevation, is a whopping 11-match card! Let’s just say I prefer the shorter shows… So on with the review!

Match #1: Fuego Del Sol def. Jay Malachi

My Thoughts: After what seems like spending ages working the indies, Aew’s Fuego Del Sol is back on the company’s programming! In a match that was actually one of Fuego’s best for the company – with no overuse of gimmicks, just two guys going at it in a great wrestling match.

My Score: 3 out of 5 Match #2: Leila Gray def. Tiara James

My Thoughts: If ever there was an example of the typical Aew quasi-squash match, this was it. And that was all this was Tbh.

Young and Woods isolated Ali early, but Coast 2 Coast used double-team tactics behind the referee’s back to take control and isolate Woods. After Young eventually tagged in, he ran wild on both Lsg and Ali. Young hit an anarchist suplex on Ali for a near fall before finishing him off with an assisted cutter.

Titus hit a slingshot Northern Lights suplex for a near fall. Titus then went for a slingshot cross body to the outside, but Ali caught him and landed an overhead suplex on the floor. Back inside the ring, Ali hit a frog slash, but Titus kicked out at one. Ali attempted a second frog splash, but Titus rolled out of the way.

Castle and The Boys isolated Bandido, but Bandido eventually tagged out to Robinson, who ran wild on both Boys. He hit an airplane spin, Juice Box and Pulp Friction on a Boy and made the cover, but Castle pulled Robinson out of the ring. Bandido landed a dive over the top rope onto Castle on the floor. Later, a Boy inadvertently kicked Castle. Bandido hit an over-the-top rope hurricanrana on Castle on the floor, and then hit a springboard moonsault on a Boy, who was draped over the middle rope.
