Exclusive: Fight Night: The Million Dollar Heist‘s Artrece Johnson has signed with Cesd for representation.

Johnson is coming off her breakout performance in Peacock’s limited series Fight Night: The Million Dollar Heist, opposite Kevin Hart and Taraji P. Henson. In the series, Johnson portrays Faye Williams, the long-suffering wife of Gordon ‘Chicken Man’ Williams (Hart) and mother to his three children, who finds herself at odds with his other woman and “business partner with benefits,” Vivian Thomas (Henson). Cast also includes Samuel L. Jackson, Don Cheadle, and Terrence Howard.

Johnson’s film credits include supporting opposite Teyana Taylor in A Thousand and One from director and Gotham Award winner A.V. Rockwell, which took home the Grand Jury Award at the 2023 Sundance Film Festival and was later distributed by Focus Features. Other television credits include: FBI: Most Wanted, Law & Order: Svu, P-Valley, and HBO Max’s Gossip Girl reboot.

As its title suggests, the series is based on an exceptionally ambitious heist, previously documented in iHeart Radio's similarly titled true-crime podcast helmed and hosted by Jeff Keating. Both recount the true-to-life events of a shocking armed robbery that occurred the night of Muhammad Ali's first professional boxing match after being banned from the sport for years as a result of refusing to be drafted into the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.

Peacock has released a new trailer (above) for Fight Night: The Million Dollar Heist, its limited series set in Atlanta on the night of Muhammad Ali’s historic 1970 comeback, which will begin streaming Thursday, Sept. 5.

Exclusive: Peacock‘s limited series Fight Night: The Million Dollar Heist has added six actors to its growing cast: Chloe Bailey (Candy Cane Lane), Melvin Gregg (Snowfall), Artrece Johnson (A Thousand One), Jalyn Hall (Genius: MLK/X), Clifton Powell (Black Lightning) and Lori Harvey. Production is set to begin next week

The series, based on the eponymous iHeartPodcast, will tell the story of how on the night of Ali’s defeat of Jerry Quarry, which came after he was banned from boxing for refusing to enter the military draft, hundreds of guests at an after-party were robbed at gunpoint, becoming one of the largest armed robberies the country has ever seen. Fight Night, set in Atlanta, will focus on the cop and the hustler, at the center of it all.

Previously announced cast includes Dexter Darden as Muhammad Ali, Samuel L. Jackson, Kevin Hart, Terrence Howard, Taraji P. Henson and Don Cheadle.

Exclusive: Zero Gravity Management, the Los Angeles, New York and London based production and management outfit that has credits include The Accountant and Ozark, has boosted its ranks by hiring UK talent manager Iona Maclean.

Maclean links up with the company having been running her own banner, Iona Maclean Management, in the UK and U.S.

She is bringing her entire client roster into the fold, including Artrece Johnson (S.W.A.T.) Tom Sayer (Crowhurst), and long-term Hollyoaks actress Helen Pearson. She will split her time between the U.S. and Zero Gravity’s growing London office.
