Promising young hero Adivi Sesh, after the back-to-back successes of ‘Major’ and ‘Hit-2’, recently announced the rollout of G2, sequel to his ground-breaking film ‘Goodhachari’. The story of ‘Goodhachari’ was set in India, but G2 is going to unravel in an international setting – and Sesh will writing it as well.

Fast rising Telugu star Naga Shaurya’s 24th film, tentatively being referred to as ‘NS24’, went on floors on Sunday with a grand pooja ceremony. Directed by the debutant S S Arunachalam, the film is being produced by Srinivasa Rao Chintalapudi, Vijay Kumar Chintalapudi and Dr Ashok Kumar Chintalapudi for Vaishnavi Films.

Director V V Vinayak, who attended the pooja ceremony, sounded the clapboard for the muhurtham shot, marking the launch of the production. The camera was switched on by Abhishek Agarwal and Thirumala Kishore directed the first shot.

‘NS24’ will have the biggest budget among all films that Naga Shaurya has so far acted in.

Abhishek Aggarwal, best known for producing successful films like ‘The Kashmir Files’ and ‘Karthikeya 2’, has adopted a village in Telangana’s Rangareddy district.

The producer adopted a village called Thimmapur in the Kandukuru Mandal of Rangareddy district. Interestingly, Thimmapur is the birthplace of Union Minister G. Kishan Reddy.

The producer, who has established a foundation called the Chandrakala Foundation to serve the people, adopted Thimmapur village on the occasion of his father Tej Narayan Aggarwal’s 60th birthday.

Recently, Chandrakala Foundation’s third Sarthak Divas was celebrated at the Jrc Convention in Hyderabad. Several dignitaries participated in the event, which was also attended by the students of Thimmapur.

Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai on Sunday took time off to watch the movie at a theatre in Bengaluru. Later, taking to Twitter, the chief minister hailed the movie director Vivek Agnihotri and his "efforts to bring to light the plight of Kashmiri Pandits" who were subjected to genocide in the Kashmir valley in the 90s. "Kudos to @vivekagnihotri for #TheKashmirFiles, a blood-curdling, poignant and honest narrative of the exodus of Kashmiri Pandits from their home land," he said. "To lend our support to the movie & encourage our people to watch it, we will make the movie tax-free in Karnataka," Bommai added. Gujarat and Madhya Pradesh have also made the movie tax free in their states.
