True Crime and Crime Thrillers have become a comfort genre for the audience to tune into for the thrill, mystery, and eventual resolution that they provide. It is a perfect combination of suspense and relief, but the genre is also evolving. What if comedy and lighthearted themes were coupled with the dark themes of mystery and crime? Can it work? Especially for an Indian TV series, Mistry sets an example that it does work. Set in Mumbai, with a strong cast of Ram Kapoor and Mona Singh in leading roles as investigators, the series presents its individual stories through its eight episodes as well as unveiling the main arc of Armaan Mistry, played by Ram Kapoor, trying to resolve his wife’s death, which he thinks to be a homicide.

The series is an adaptation of the crime drama series Monk, where Adrian Monk tries to solve his wife’s murder.

The eight-episode family drama thriller revolves around a retired cop, Omkar Singh (played by Pavan Malhotra), who lives with his family in Jalandhar, Punjab. When Omkar’s elder son mistakenly brings home an identical bag, the bag owner tracks him and arrives at his home to take it back.

It can be also used for emergency hospital setup, functions and events. Positioned atop a truck’s sturdy frame, ‘Chalte Firte Mangalkaryalay’ unfurls into a spacious 1,200 sq. ft. wedding hall, capable of hosting up to 150 guests seated or 300 guests with floor seating.

The fully air-conditioned hall comes complete with a stage, mandap, and sound system, offering all the essentials for a memorable wedding experience.

Known for his work in ‘Masoom’ and ‘Pyaar Ka Punchnama 2’, actor Omkar Kapoor, who is seen in the show ‘Aangan-Aapno Kaa’ shared how the character appealed him on multiple levels, and delved into the show’s unique theme.

Omkar plays Dr Siddhant in the family drama. Amid the captivating narrative centered on the devoted single father Jaidev Sharma (Mahesh Thakur) and his three daughters, there’s a new twist on the horizon.

Omkar brings a breath of fresh air to the storyline. Stepping into the character of Dr Siddhant, a resilient and compassionate doctor with modern ideologies, he becomes a potential suitor for Pallavi (Ayushi Khurana), chosen by her father Jaidev. This intriguing addition promises to bring exciting new twists to Pallavi’s life and adds complexity to her budding romance with Akash (Samar Vermani).

On what drew him to Dr Siddhant’s character, Omkar said: “My character appealed to me on multiple levels.

‘Dharani Mandala Madhyadolage’, a Kannada crime thriller featuring new actors and a debutant director, has completed 25 days and a positive response from the audience. Popular stars Daali Dhananjay and Shruthi Hariharan have led those who have showered praise on the film.
