Godzilla Minus One Gets Exciting Sequel Update
Image
Godzilla Minus One became a huge hit outside its native Japan, when it was released in 2023. Now, Toho Studios are officially moving forward with a sequel.

Per Bloomberg Japan, Toho Studios has dedicated $1.2 billion to a new globalization effort set to take place across the next three years. This move comes in response to what Toho sees as a growing demand for Japanese films and series across numerous international markets. Among the confirmed projects slated to be a part of this effort is a direct follow-up to the Academy Award-winning Godzilla Minus One.

Toho will also be launching their own subscription service, Toho-one, in the coming years, which will give members exclusive access to various films, plays, digital games, and other merchandise and tie-in materials. Toho reportedly aims to increase its overseas sales ratio from 10% to 30% by 2032, which will mark the company's 100th anniversary.
