The original Scream movie kicked off a giant horror film franchise and starred an ensemble of actors who went on to have prolific and successful careers. Scream is Wes Craven’s meta-response to the slasher films that had come out in the years prior. It serves as both a parody and a terrifying horror movie in its own right, and Ghostface has become an icon of horror and Halloween.
