Jessica was born in Conway, South Carolina, to Kevin and Sharon Sluys. From the moment her four-year-old ears heard applause for the first time, she knew she wanted to be a performer. Jessica attended Carolina Forest High School and then went on to pursue a graphic design career as the University of South Carolina. She moved back home in 2008 and resumed her education at Coastal Carolina University as a dramatic arts major. She graduated cum laude in 2011. She then went on to move to Dallas, Texas in 2013.
