Lora Goryanova Dekova was born in Sofia, Bulgaria, to Jiva (Dineva), a Supreme Court judge, and Goryan Iliev Dekov, an architect.
Dekova began acting as a teenager in an amateur drama studio where she made her stage debut in a production of "Pipi Longstocking". In 2009 she was accepted in the National academy for theater and film arts in Sofia where she spent the next four years studying classical acting and the Stanislavski method. In her second year she won her first big audition for the female lead in the feature film 'Rat poison'.
After two years spent working in the theater and portraying Elena Andreevna in Checkov's 'Uncle Vanya' , Olivia in '12th night' and Madame de Sade in 'Madame de Sade' she set off to explore the world, attending multiple acting workshops in France and then coming to Los Angeles to begin her adventures in film and television.
