Composer Hans Zimmer has joined the HBO show to compose the score for season three, expected sometime in 2026. He’ll collaborate with returning composer Labrinth, who scored the first two seasons of the show.

“It’s an honor to join this incredible team of storytellers led by the visionary Sam Levinson,” Zimmer said in a statement. “Together, they have crafted such a bold and moving series that has meant so much to audiences. Legendary film composer Hans Zimmer, known for his dozens of iconic movie scores in films such as The Dark Knight, Dune: Part Two, Top Gun: Maverick, and Gladiator, will provide the soundtrack for HBO's highly anticipated Euphoria season 3.

According to Deadline, Euphoria season 3 creator Sam Levinson "wrote the third season of HBO drama series Euphoria while listening to the scores of Interstellar and True Romance," both of which Zimmer created. Zimmer will compose the original score for Euphoria season 3 with British musician Labrinth, who provided the celebrated music for the show's first two seasons.

While Zimmer has primarily worked on movies throughout his decade-spanning career, Euphoria won't be his first venture into narrative TV. He co-produced the score of Apple's upcoming Chief of War series starring Jason Momoa and has composed the theme music for Emmy-winning series such as The Crown and The Pacific.

Florence Pugh thinks the upcoming Marvel film “Thunderbolts*” feels less like a major Hollywood tentpole and more like an arthouse indie.

“It ended up becoming this quite badass indie, A24-feeling assassin movie with Marvel superheroes,” Pugh, who plays Yelena Belova in the film, told Empire.

Pugh’s comments are backed by “Thunderbolts*” marketing, which has recently emphasized its cast and creative team’s ties to A24. A new teaser points out Pugh, Julia Louis-Dreyfus and Sebastian Stan’s roles in A24 films “Midsommar,” You Hurt My Feelings” and “A Different Man.”

The teaser also highlighted “the writers and director of ‘Beef,'” “the editor of ‘Minari'” and “the composers of ‘Everything Everywhere All at Once'” among others.

Director Jake Schreier told Variety at Comic-Con last year that “The goal that Kevin [Feige, president of Marvel Studios] set at the beginning was to go in and try to make this different.

Could Marvel be trying to get in on some of that indie popularity? With Sean Baker’s Neon release “Anora” running away with five Oscars last weekend, including the top honor of Best Picture, big Hollywood studios like Disney may want some of its own fare to have that independent touch. Such is the case it seems for its upcoming entry in the MCU, “Thunderbolts,” starring Florence Pugh, Sebastian Stan, David Harbour, Lewis Pullman, Wyatt Russell, and Julia Louis-Dreyfus.

Speaking in a recent interview with Empire, Pugh said of the tone the film “ended up becoming this quite badass indie, A24-feeling assassin movie with Marvel superheroes.”

And while A24 and “Anora” studio Neon are decidedly not “rivals,” as Neon CEO Tom Quinn recently said (Neon instead counts Netflix as their “biggest competitor” for acquisition titles), could Marvel be trying to square off with A24?

Zendaya is spending another day on set of Euphoria!

The 28-year-old two-time Emmy winner filmed scenes for season 3 with Alexa Demie at Bob’s Big Boy restaurant on Thursday night (March 6) in Burbank, Calif.

For their time on set, Zendaya wore a gray sweater while Alexa, 34, donned an orange outfit with a fur-trimmed neck and cuffs.

During their conversation, they were joined by new co-star Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, who sat next to Zendaya in the booth and had his arm draped over her shoulder.

The season 2 finale of Euphoria aired in 2022, and season 3 was subject to production delays due to the busy schedule of the cast.

An Oscar-nominated actress just recently confirmed that she has joined the cast for season 3.

After a lengthy gap between seasons, HBO confirmed that the series had entered production in February. On Thursday night (March 6), the 28-year-old actress was spotted working on set in Lancaster, Calif.

Dressed casually in a black jacket, Zendaya appeared to be filming solo scenes. She was notably photographed driving in a car.
