Infinity Pool is a sci-fi thriller written and directed by Brandon Cronenberg, and starring Alexander Skarsgård, Mia Goth and Cleopatra Coleman.

The film is scheduled to release January 27, 2023.

Premise

While staying at an isolated island resort, James and Em are enjoying a perfect vacation of pristine beaches, exceptional staff, and soaking up the sun. But guided by the seductive and mysterious Gabi, they venture outside the resort grounds and find themselves in a culture filled with violence, hedonism, and untold horror.

Brandon Cronenberg is a Canadian director and screenwriter. Born January 10th, 1980 in Toronto to parents David Cronenberg and Carolyn Zeifman. His debut feature film was ‘Antiviral’ (2012), and has since directed a number of films, among them the short but long titled ‘Please Speak Continuously and Describe Your Experiences as They Come to You’ (2019), and the feature film ‘Possessor’ (2020).

Brandon Cronenberg, son of horror maven David Cronenberg and quickly becoming one of the most exciting voices in the genre, has an upcoming sci-fi thriller called "Infinity Pool," and it had to be re-edited in order to avoid an Nc-17 rating. The Nc-17 rating is typically reserved for the kind of adult films you'd find in the "back room" of a video store and is usually viewed as a death sentence for any film pursuing a theatrical release. Streaming changed the game, allowing films like "Blonde" to debut without the suggested edits for an R-rated theatrical release. Anyone familiar with Cronenberg's previous films like "Antiviral" and "Possessor" shouldn't be surprised "Infinity Pool" was slapped with the initial Nc-17 rating, because the man loves to explore deeply provocative themes of sex and death.

The production immediately filed an appeal with slight re-edits, and the film's original rating was voided in place of an R rating.

Waxwork Records is bringing the world multiple releases that are tied to writer/director Rob Zombie’s feature update of the classic sitcom The Munsters. They’re releasing a couple songs from the film – “It’s Zombo” and “The House of Zombo” – as a deluxe 12″ single pressed to 180 gram “Ghoul White” vinyl. The Sonny and Cher hit “I Got You Babe” is covered by Herman and Lily Munster (played by Jeff Daniel Phillips and Sheri Moon Zombie) in the movie, and their recording of the song is getting released as a single on vinyl. Now Waxwork Records is also accepting pre-orders for the Original Motion Picture Soundtrack, which has a release date of October 18th.

The movie is getting a Blu-ray, DVD, digital, and Netflix release on September 27th.

A few weeks ago, it was announced that Waxwork Records is releasing a couple songs from the film – “It’s Zombo” and “The House Of Zombo” – as a deluxe 12″ single pressed to 180 gram “Ghoul White” vinyl. Now it has been revealed that Waxwork is also releasing another single from The Munsters on vinyl. The song is the Sonny and Cher hit “I Got You Babe” as covered by Herman and Lily Munster (played by Jeff Daniel Phillips and Sheri Moon Zombie), and you can hear a snippet of it in the video at the bottom of this article.

The trailer for writer/director Rob Zombie’s feature update of the classic sitcom The Munsters has a moment in which Zombie pays tribute to Count Orlock from the horror classic Nosferatu. Now Zombie has taken to social media to share another look at the Orlock character, captioning the image “Before Lily met Herman there was Orlock. Superman actor Henry Cavill stars in The Witcher, Netflix's ambitious television series adaptation of the famed fantasy franchise.

Netflix’s The Witcher is conjuring a live-action manifestation of the popular fantasy novel series of Andrzej Sapkowski, which, of course, spawned the popular video game series.

Notably, it also marks a monumental turn for its star, Henry Cavill, who has permanently put away his Superman suit, and shaved that pesky Mission: Impossible – Fallout mustache, for a television series that matches if not exceeds the grandiosity of his big screen run as the Man of Steel.
