How far will you go to protect what you love? For free-diving conservationist Ocean Ramsey, the answer is very, very far — or rather, deep. In Shark Whisperer, a forthcoming documentary film, Ramsey recounts how her fascination and kinship with one of the ocean’s most feared predators began when she was growing up on the island of Oahu, Hawaii. Her passion for sharks, who she feels are gravely misunderstood and unfairly maligned, became her life’s work. Over 100 million sharks are killed each year, imperiling the survival of a species that is integral to a balanced marine ecosystem, and critical to a healthy Earth.
She advocates for their safety, urging people not to treat them as the “monsters” they are often portrayed to be.

Exclusive: Peacock is teaming with LeBron James and Maverick Carter’s Uninterrupted on Golden, a docuseries about women’s gymnasts vying for a spot on the U.S. team heading to the Tokyo Olympics.
The six-episode series tracks five hopefuls competing for four spots on the U.S. Olympic team. A premiere date has not yet been confirmed for the show, which is part of a broad array of live and on-demand Tokyo programming heading to NBCUniversal platforms.
Golden features Laurie Hernandez, Morgan Hurd, Sunisa Lee, Konnor McClain, and MyKayla Skinner. A major theme will be the coronavirus pandemic, which forced the postponement of the Games from 2020 to 2021 and also dramatically altered athletes’ preparations and training.
