AMC Releases ‘Kevin Can F**k Himself’ Premiere Date and Trailer (TV News Roundup)

AMC announced that the first two episodes of the upcoming dark comedy “Kevin Can F**k Himself” will premiere on AMC Plus on June 13 and air on June 20 at 9 p.m. on AMC.

The remaining episodes will continue to debut on AMC Plus one week ahead of the AMC linear airings on Sundays at 9 p.m.

In the new series, “Schitt’s Creek” star Annie Murphy plays Allison McRoberts, a prototypical sitcom wife who wakes up and revolts against the injustices in her life. The series also stars Mary Hollis Inboden, Eric Petersen, Alex Bonifer, Brian Howe and Raymond Lee, and is executive produced by creator Valerie Armstrong, Rashida Jones, Will McCormack and showrunner Craig Digregorio.

OWN’s ‘David Makes Man’ Returns For Season 2 In June (TV News Roundup)

OWN announced that “David Makes Man” is returning for Season 2 on June 22.

The new 10-episode season finds David, played by Kwame Patterson, faced with a decision that will change him and his community forever. The series began filming again in October 2020 in Orlando, Fla.

This announcement comes with a slew of new recurring cast members, including Tony Plana, Brittany S. Hall, Erica Lutrell, Zsané Jhé, Bobbi Baker, Patrice Arenas, Trinity Cidel, Brandi Huzzie, Rodney Gardiner and Janmarco Santiago. Arlen Escarpeta, Akili McDowell, Alana Arenas, Travis Coles and Cayden K. Williams also return for Season 2.

Kiel Adrian Scott and Erica Watson will each direct half the season.

HBO Releases ‘The Crime of the Century’ Trailer (TV News Roundup)

HBO released a trailer for the upcoming two-part documentary “The Crime of the Century,” which premieres on May 10.

Written and directed by Alex Gibney, the film exposes the billions of dollars gained and thousands of lives lost due to the opioid crisis. It reveals the secrets behind Big Pharma, political operatives and government regulations that enabled over-production, reckless distribution and abuse of synthetic opiates.

Gibney served as a producer alongside Sarah Dowland and Svetlana Zill. Stacey Offman, Richard Perello, Todd Hoffman, and Aaron Fishman, senior Tina Nguyen, Nancy Abraham and Lisa Heller served as executive producers.
