This fall, Uoto's sports manga 100 Meters races to cinemas with an anime film adaptation. Today, the upcoming project announced 10 new cast additions. Whatever you like in terms of genre and story, you will probably find it in an anime or manga. This world is so vast and so rich with different stories that there is practically something for everyone’s taste.

If you’re a fan of quirky romantic comedies, then you might check out the Mechanical Marie manga series by Aki Akimoto, which originally ran from 2020 to 2023 through six volumes and is now continued in the form of a sequel, Mechanical Marie+, which debuted in April 2025.

But the original series will be getting an anime adaptation, and the producers have just released a proper trailer and some relevant information, which we’d like to share with you here.

The official website and accounts for the upcoming Mechanical Marie anime today unveiled the rom-com series' first teaser trailer and visual, with the former revealing two key cast members and a planned Fall 2025 broadcast. Nao Toyama (Hiro in A Couple of Cuckoos ) stars as the titular Marie and Haruki Ishiya (Abel in Saint Cecilia & Pastor Lawrence ) stars as Arthur. The official website of AnimeJapan 2025 revealed the line-ups for its main stages on Jan 17, 2025.

This year’s event will feature four main stages—Red, Green, Blue, and the newly introduced White stage, hosting a total of 52 programs over two days.

An overview of the stages can be viewed below:

Red Stage & Green Stage: These are closed stages with designated seating. Attendees will need both an admission ticket and a stage viewing ticket to watch programs on these stages. Blue Stage & White Stage: These are open stages. The front-row seats for viewing will be designated seating, requiring both an admission ticket and a stage viewing ticket. However, free viewing areas are available at the back, though space is limited.

It was also revealed that some stage programs will be streamed online. Further details about the streaming schedule and availability will be revealed in the coming weeks.
