Online physical media retailer Waxwork Records is releasing the score to “The Substance” on vinyl and digital.

Featuring original music from Benjamin Stefanski, better known by his recording alias Raffertie, the score from Coralie Fargeat’s body horror drama will be available Sept. 20 as a deluxe LP set. The album comes pressed to “Activator Green” colored vinyl and housed in a printed inner sleeve and heavyweight jacket wrapped in a custom printed kraft paper O-Card. The score will also be made available across all major digital platforms.

Stefanski is a classically trained musician who specializes in experimental electronic compositions. His composer credits include films like “One Way,” “Zone 414” and “Bull,” and TV shows such as, “99,” “The Continental,” “I May Destroy You” and “Top Gear.”

Cannes Film Festival went apeshit for the jaw-dropping, nauseating, defiant, hilarious “The Substance” — a body horror thriller from French director Coralie Forgeat starring Demi Moore and Margaret Qualley — on Sunday night with an 11-minute standing ovation.

It’s the tale of a once-great actress (Moore) whose certain age has relegated her to a Jane Fonda-style fitness show. When she’s fired, she is offered a trial of the medical treatment the film is named for. It promises a younger, better version of herself through a cell replicating process.

Moore takes a leap of faith and winds up on the bathroom floor, spine split open like a Christmas ham, when this new version — played by Qualley — comes slithering out of her back. The news comes a little over three weeks after the Season 1 finale, which debuted on March 5. The cast included Violett Beane, Mandy Patinkin, Lauren Patten, Rahul Kohli, Angela Zhou, Hugo Diego Garcia, Pardis Saremi, and Linda Emond.

The official description of the series stated, “Set amidst the glamor of the global elite, ‘Death and Other Details’ centers on the brilliant and restless Imogene Scott (Beane), who finds herself in the wrong place/wrong time and becomes the prime suspect in a locked room murder mystery. The setting? A lavishly restored Mediterranean ocean liner. Suspects? Every pampered guest and every exhausted crew member. The problem?
