Dean Cain Goes 'Ted Lasso' in First 'Little Angels' Trailer [Exclusive]

First announced in 2021, sports comedy Little Angels is one step closer to the screen. Collider is unveiling an exclusive look at the trailer for the Dean Cain movie. Cain, in addition to leading the film, also wrote and directed it. Little Angels follows Jake Rogers (Cain) a D1 college football coach who, after making sexist remarks, is required to coach a girls' soccer team. The film is slated to be released nationwide on June 6. The film also stars Helena Mattsson,Torrance Coombs (Reign), Alex Jayne Go, Carla Jimenez (The Mick), Bryan Callan, as well as Lou Ferrigno.

The logline for Little Angels is as follows:

"Little Angels follows Jake Rogers (Dean Cain), a fiery Division I college football coach who is suspended after a controversial remark about female athletes. As part of his redemption, he’s assigned to coach a 12-year-old girls’ soccer team—a group of misfit players with a lot of heart.

‘Wild ‘N Out’ Announces 300th Episode Premiere Date; WarnerMedia Partners with Mo Willems (TV News Roundup)

VH1 announced that “Wild ‘N Out” will premiere its 300th episode on Tuesday, Feb. 22 at 8 p.m. Et. The premiere will kick off the comedy show’s next season, with new episodes airing on the following Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

Hosted by Nick Cannon, this season’s guest stars and performances include Fat Joe, Wyclef Jean, Tommy Davidson, Saucy Santana, Miles Brown, G-Eazy and Kossiko, Dreamdoll, Kelsey Plum and Dearica Hamby, Jimmy Allen, Lisa Raye, Kid ‘N Play and Mariah the Scientist. “Wild ‘N Out” is also partnering with Super League Gaming this season to produce live streams for three weeks. Each week within Minehut, Super League’s Minecraft community, players will be able to freestyle rap, discuss the new “Wild ‘N Out” episodes and more on “Wild ‘N Out: Metaverse Remix” at 9 p.m. Et beginning Feb. 22.

“Wild ‘N Out” features improvisational comedy games and celebrity guests that lead teams in a series of challenges.

‘Pretzel And The Puppies’: Apple TV+ Sets Preschool Series With Mark Duplass & Nasim Pedrad; Unveils Trailer & Premiere Date

Mark Duplass and Nasim Pedrad will voice a couple of Dachshunds for Apple TV+’s Pretzel and the Puppies. The animated family series comes from HarperCollins Productions, part of HarperCollins Publishers.

On Monday, the Apple streaming service revealed that it has ordered a preschool series that is based on the titular canine character of the book Pretzel, by Curious George creators Margret and H.A. Rey. Pretzel and the Puppies is a new story about the modern dog family led by stay-at-home dad Pretzel (Duplass), his five adorable Dachshund puppies, and mom Greta (Pedrad), the mayor of Muttgomery.

Exclusive: Dean Cain is directing and starring in Little Angels, a family sports comedy that he also wrote.

Helena Mattsson (American Horror Story), Carla Jimenez (The Mick), Torrance Coombs (The Originals), Juliet Donenfeld (The Big Show Show), Alex Jayne Go (Searching) and Ryan O’Quinn have signed on to star opposite Cain in his debut directorial effort, which is currently in production in Los Angeles.

Little Angels revolves around Jake Rogers (Cain), a Division I college football coach at the top of his game who uses a female placekicker as a publicity stunt. When the player misses a field goal, the coach makes an offhand comment in the media about female athletes and is immediately suspended by the university. In an effort to get his job back, Rogers must coach a 12-year-old girls soccer team for the remainder of the season.
