All American Renewed for Final Season at The CW — Find Out When It Will Air

All American fans, consider this your two-minute warning: The CW has renewed its long-running football drama for an eighth — but final — season.

The series’ 13-episode swan song, which will “[bring] generations of Crenshaw and Beverly together for a powerful conclusion,” is on track to air in 2026, TVLine has learned.

In some other showrunners’ hands, it would be tempting to end Season 7 of “All American” by focusing on this long-running drama’s fan favorites rather than its new cast. That’s not the approach Nkechi Okoro Carroll and Jamie Turner took. It’s a deliberate choice that shows how committed they are to this new story and the central ethos of their show.

“While it’s a multi-generational show, always our entry point and main focus is through the lens of our youth. For us, bringing the story back around to the youth and how they deal with the fallout from the decisions the adults made was very much intentional,” Carroll told TheWrap.

ABC News Studios has announced the one-hour special Manhunt: Luigi Mangione and the CEO Murder — A Special Edition of 20/20, airing this Thursday, Dec. 19 at 10/9c on ABC, our sister site Variety reports.

The program “reveals new details about the hunt for the suspect, examines what may have driven alleged killer Luigi Mangione to murder, and profiles new reporting on the writings found in Mangione’s backpack, what police are calling a handwritten confession criticizing the healthcare system, and the three ominous words written on the shell casings,” per the official description.

Exclusive: All American will welcome even more new faces for its seventh season.

Lauryn Hardy, Terayle Hill, and Sasha Lance are all set to recur in the upcoming 13-episode installment of the CW drama.

They will join previously announced incoming cast including Osy Ikhile, Nathaniel McIntyre and Elijah M. Cooper, as well as returning series regulars Michael Evans Behling, Greta Onieogou, and Bre-z. Antonio J. Bell and Alexis Chikaeze are also being upped to series regulars for Season 7.

Hardy will play Tori, the head cheerleader at Beverly High and a competitive athlete. She’s the first friend Kj (played by McIntyre) makes at Beverly and is never afraid to speak up for herself or fight for what she wants.
