Irish Actor, Writer & SFX Artist Siân Brennan holds Diplomas in Fine Art, Hairdressing, Fashion Theatre Media Makeup and Acting. In addition, she undertook intensive acting, script writing and SFX prosthetics training. A Weapons Master coaches Siân in the use of weaponry for stage and film - archery, side arms, sword and dagger. Safety features heavily before each session. Being exceptionally conscious of health and safety, she qualified and volunteers as a First Responder.
Raised in Monaghan Siân performed with Monaghan Amateur Dramatic Society.
As a profession she found hairdressing unfulfilling so she returned to education and trained in fashion & costume construction, graphic design, fine art & photography and performing arts.
Her career then took a different direction gaining employment with a firm of Solicitors where she worked as a Senior Legal Secretary. However, the call of her artistic nature returned her to her vocation - acting, writing and SFX. She loves creating things with her hands - painting, sculpture, crochet, knitting, papier Mache and wood carving.
Having been a Greenpeace activist with a strong sense of the environment she is constantly looking for ways to lower her carbon footprint.
An animal lover, she volunteered with the Sea Turtle Protection Society of Greece and GREFA (Grupo de Rehabilitación de la Fauna Autóctona y su Hábitat), a Birds of Prey Sanctuary in Spain seeing first-hand the devastating impact of the Gulf War on wildlife and the environment.
Home for Siân is three mental dogs, nine fish and seven cats.
