8 Below Deck Franchise Boatmances That Didn’t Work Out On Land (Their Relationships Weren’t Strong Enough)
Image
Below Deck has been known for its steamy boatmances, the show’s version of a showmance, between the yachties, even though some of them don’t work out once they try things out on land. Boatmances, the romances that blossom between crew members within the shows of the long-running franchise, are sometimes the most important parts of the season’s narrative, tying things together and creating fun, flirty drama. Boatmances often face hyperspecific pressures that people in relationships on land wouldn’t see, as the parties involved are working aboard a superyacht and serving guests, which changes the stakes for the couples.

With yachties dealing with luxurious superyacht charters daily, the crew members are often coming into a charter season with different experiences that only other yachties would understand. It’s understandable that, more often than not, yachties come into the charter season and connect with one another quickly. Bonding over their working environment,...

8 Below Deck Chefs With The Best Work Ethic Ranked (The Pressures From The Kitchen Didn't Prevent Them From Working Hard)
Image
Below Deck franchise chefs have some of the most difficult jobs throughout the charter season, and those who have a great work ethic don’t find themselves stressed by the kitchen’s pressures. Throughout Below Deck franchise history, the chefs have often been the people who make or break the success of a charter season. While the rest of the crew all play an integral role in the safety and success of a charter, the chefs provide the food for charter guests, which can often be one of the most important factors of their time aboard the superyacht.

While some Below Deck chefs are memorable because of the high level of service they provide, others are more memorable for the way they’ve been able to connect with audiences. Below Deck, at its core, is a show that allows viewers to see the inner workings of a superyacht crew. While...

Below Deck Sailing Yacht Season 1: Where Are They Now?
Image
The cast of Below Deck: Sailing Yacht season 1 was memorable, and it's time for an update on their lives. Following the immense success of Below Deck and its spinoff Below Deck Mediterranean, Bravo decided to try something new in 2020 with a fresh version of its beloved series. This led to the creation of Below Deck: Sailing Yacht, set aboard the luxurious Parsifal III in the Ionian Sea.

From an ill-fated spontaneous proposal to a cheeky comment about being breastfed as an adult, Below Deck Sailing Yacht delivered just as much drama and excitement as its predecessors. It also left fans curious about what’s happened to the crew from the first season, since so many of them have moved on. Did chief stew Jenna MacGillivray and chef Adam Glick stay together? What’s happening with Georgia Grobler’s music career? And, most importantly, is Captain Glenn Shephard really as chill as we thought?...

Below Deck Sailing Yacht Needs Daisy Kelliher Despite Producer Plant Accusations (Is She The Reason For The Show's Success?)
Image
Daisy Kelliher returned as the Chief Stew on Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 5, and despite accusations of being a producer plant, she's responsible for the show's continued success. Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 4 was a rough charter season for Daisy. After hooking up with First Mate Gary King off camera, she engaged in a boatmance with former Chief Engineer Colin Macrae. This made Gary jealous, and the whole situation turned into a messy love triangle. While Colin didn't return for Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 5, Daisy and Gary are been forced to work together again.

After Gary's sexual misconduct scandal, there were questions about whether he would return for Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 5. He allegedly engaged in misconduct with former Bravo employee Samantha Suarez after filming confessionals. While he wasn't fired, he was uninvited from BravoCon in 2023. Nevertheless, Gary is still playing a main role in Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 5. Alongside Gary,...

10 Below Deck Villains Who Demonstrated Bad Behavior Like Gary King, Ranked
Image
The Below Deck franchise has been featuring a rotating cast of yachties on each of the shows for years, but some crew members turn out to be villains akin to Below Deck Sailing Yachts Gary King, whos become the ultimately Below Deck bad guy. While there are dozens of crew members who come across Below Deck superyachts, only some have the distinct honor of becoming series villains. Though viewers arent always the biggest fans of those who get villainized or have a hand in the drama, theyre the cast members most likely to advance the plot.

While some Below Deck yachties come into the show with villainous intentions, others become villains during their time on the series. With the pressure of working aboard a superyacht in general mixed with the intensity of a reality TV series, villains can be made easily on Below Deck depending on the crew, the captain,...

Below Deck Sailing Yacht: What Happened To Jenna After Season One
Image
Jenna MacGillivray joined the cast of Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 1 as the chief stew, and it's time to talk about what she's been up to since the show. After going to the Parsifal III in Greece, she was introduced to her fellow crew members and taken with one of them. Despite Adam's last failed "boatmance" with Malia White on Below Deck Med, she and Adam Glick were interested in each other. While she may have hit it off with Adam, Jenna was also friendly with the rest of her crew. As fans await Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 5, it's time to catch up with Jenna.

Early in the charter season, Jenna began to butt heads with her second and third stews, Madison Stalker and Georgia Grobler. Jenna wasn't much of a coddler when it came to her stews and would often be quite hard on them if they weren't...

Below Deck Mediterranean - What Happened To Malia White & Does She Still Work In Yachting?
Image
Malia White was last seen on Below Deck Mediterranean season 6, but what has she been up to since her time on the show? Viewers first met Malia as a deckhand on season 2 of the Bravo series, where she made waves for her love triangle with Bosun Wesley Walton and Chef Adam Glick. She went on to date Wesley for several years after the season ended. Malia returned for Below Deck Med season 5 as a bosun and again for season 6 in the same role.

Even though Malia didn't have the best showing on Below Deck Med season 5, she ratted Chief Stew Hannah Ferrier out for having unregistered Valium and a vape pen on board, and she returned for season 6. Malia had somewhat of a redemption season and had a better rapport with viewers. However, Malia has yet to return to the series, which has many wondering what she has been up...

10 Most Problematic Below Deck Franchise Boatmances, Ranked
Image
Below Deck franchise is known for on-board romances, often leading to drama and entertainment. The love triangle involving Gary King, Ashley Marti, and Daisy Kelliher led to a lot of chaos. Brooke Laughton was unfaithful to Joo Franco. Jennice claimed that Kelley even called her "ugly." Crew members should prioritize work over romances to avoid toxic relationships that impact their jobs.

Below Deck and its spin-offs are popular for featuring on-board romances, most of which don't end well. The reality TV show began in 2013 and has since shown dozens of crew members falling in love or break up. One good example is the relationship between Paget Berry and Ciara Duggan. The first officer and the junior deckhand debuted in Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 1. They had already been in a strong relationship before joining the show, so they formed a great team and were excellent co-workers. Both were extremely mature...

What Is Below Deck Chef Ben Doing Today After Leaving The Series?

Being a chef on a luxury yacht is tough, but Ben Robinson stands out as a fan favorite in the Below Deck franchise. While Ben has hinted at retiring from Below Deck, fans are hopeful he may make a surprise return in the future.

Below Deck Med Star Reveals Even More Red Flags After Allegedly Faking Poor Performance
Image
Chef Johnathan Jono Shillingford faces criticism for his meal preparation during Below Deck Mediterranean season 9. Fans speculate about potential replacement chefs and Jono's future on the show. Captain Sandy Yawn considers a backup chef in case of Jono's dismissal, amid online scrutiny.

Below Deck Mediterranean season 9 star Johnathan Jono Shillingford came under fire yet again, this time for the way he prepared a recent meal. Almost every season of Below Deck Med has had a new chef, though Adam Glick appeared in two seasons, and Ben Robinson was a cast member for one-and-a-half seasons; Ben replaced a different chef who left partway through the charter season. The following season also saw two chefs being hired at different points in the year, and the same thing could happen again during Below Deck Med season 9 if Chef Jono doesn't show major improvements.

Below Deck Mediterranean: Did Bri Break Girl Code With Ellie?

Bri Muller hooked up with Joe Bradley on Below Deck Mediterranean, but did she really break the girl code with Elena Dubaich? The third stew was getting along fairly well with her second stew, but after hooking up with Ellie's crush onboard, the gloves came off in their relationship. 8 Chefs Who Could Replace Chef Johnathan Shillingford On Below Deck Mediterranean Season 9
Image
Chef Jono's performance in Below Deck Mediterranean season 9 may determine if he gets fired or not. If Chef Jono is fired, several past Below Deck chefs could replace him, including Adam Glick, Hindrigo "Kiko" Lorran, Tzarina Mace-Ralph, Ben Robinson, Jack Luby, Ileisha Dell, Marcos Spaziani, and David White. Captain Sandy has praised Chef Dave as the best chef she's worked with, making him a likely candidate to replace Chef Jono if he gets fired.

If Captain Sandy fires Chef Johnathan Jono Shillingford from Below Deck Mediterranean season 9, he could be replaced by a previous Below Deck franchise chef. Below Deck Med season 9 has a crew of new yachties, with only Captain Sandy, Aesha Scott, and Elena Dubaich being featured on the show previously. I Think Malia White Should Return To Below Deck Mediterranean

Malia White should return to Below Deck Med as Bosun to bring back the drama and excitement viewers love. Drama always follows Malia, from love triangles to feuds, making her a memorable and entertaining TV personality. Malia and Captain Sandy work well together, showcasing Malia's skills and professionalism in her job role.

Below Deck Mediterranean star Malia White has been away from the series for some time, and Im hoping to see her return to Below Deck as Bosun sometime in the near future. Below Deck Sailing Yacht' Season 1 Almost Sank the Series
Image
Below Deck Sailing Yacht was the second spin-off of the flagship program that was launched on Bravo. The first season introduced viewers to the crew of Parsifall III, a motoryacht with a twist: a big, ol' sail! Led by Captain Glenn Shephard, the first season was filled with the typical yachties that have made fans love the Below Deck programs. They even welcomed a familiar face in Chef Adam Glick to the yacht. With two seasons of Below Deck Mediterranean under his belt, he was meant to help steer the ship to success. But something didn't work. Was it the awkward boatmance between Chef Adam and Chief Stew Jenna MacGillivray? Was it the real-life couple working on deck, Padget Berry and Ciara Duggan? Whatever it was, after Season 1, Below Deck Sailing Yacht essentially emptied the bunks of Parsifall III and Captain Glenn returned with an entirely new crew and the rest is history.

9 Below Deck Franchise Chefs With The Worst Attitude

Chefs on Below Deck can have unpredictable and mean attitudes, but they have become memorable cast members. Chefs like Dave White, Jess Condy, Kevin Dobson, Tom Checketts, Rachel Hargrove, Mathew Shea, Leon Walker, Adam Glick, and Ryan Mckeown had bad attitudes on the show.

Over the years, many chefs who've appeared in the Below Deck franchise didn't have the best attitudes on board. If the popular Bravo franchise taught its fans anything, it's that chefs can be quite unpredictable and sometimes even mean. Inside Jenna & Chef Adam's Romance On Below Deck Sailing Yacht Season 1
Image
Bravo's Below Deck Sailing Yacht has featured several memorable boatmances across different seasons of the reality series, but the rocky romance between Chief Steward Jenna MacGillivray and Chef Adam Glick in season 1 is considered one of the most forgettable. Despite their best efforts to make their romance work, the couple only succeeded in giving off cringe moments for both fans and crew members. Unlike the fascinating love triangle between crew members Gary King, Colin McRae, and Daisy Kelliher, this boatmance was difficult to watch.

Adam met Jenna when he returned to Bdsy as a chef after he had appeared on Below Deck Mediterranean for two seasons. Although it was exciting to see him again, interest dwindled when he began a romance with stew Jenna. For most of Bdsy season 1, the duo was constantly seen hugging and kissing in the galley. Below Deck (2013)
Why Below Deck: Sailing Yacht is the Best Show You're Not Watching
Below Deck (2013)
The Below Deck franchise is about to celebrate its 10th birthday on Bravo.

When the series sailed onto our screens in 2013, the idea that I'd still be invested a decade later didn't float.

The year is 2023, and any quasi-successful series has countless spinoffs, but it's rare for a spinoff to outshine the original.

Enter Below Deck: Sailing Yacht, the dark horse of the franchise.

When the show kicked off in 2020, it was an utter disaster, with many believing it wouldn't survive into a second season.

Thanks to more people at home due to Covid-19, the show garnered decent ratings.

Thankfully, Bravo understood that finding the right cast is the key to delivering drama worthy of the high seas.

Producers thought we were interested in watching a cast built around Below Deck: Mediterranean's Adam Glick, and it was hands down one of the worst seasons in franchise history -- even...

10 Most Shocking Below Deck Storylines
Image
Over the last six years, Below Deck has brought multiple storylines to the forefront, and ten shocking scenes are well worth revisiting. Through each charter's season, the cast and crew have been put through the wringer, due to their own actions, or because of demanding charter guests. As the years rolled on, the nautical-themed reality show has had more than a few classic moments that were captured by Bravo cameras.

Since the original Below Deck series launched, a variety of spin-offs have been produced, including Below Deck Mediterranean, Below Deck Sailing Yacht, Below Deck Adventure, and Below Deck Down Under. The Bravo series follows the professional and personal lives of cast members who've chosen to work in the yachting industry. There is usually enough drama, including boatmances, to keep everyone entertained. Through the seasons and multiple spin-offs, viewers have enjoyed watching chefs lose their cool in galleys. For example, a...

Below Deck Mediterranean: Everything to Know About Malia White
Image
Bosun Malia White first joined Below Deck Mediterranean season 2 and later returned for Below Deck Med season 5. During her first season, Malia started as a deckhand and moved up to lead deckhand later on in the season. When Malia returned for Below Deck Med season 5, she was promoted again to bosun, becoming the first female leader of the outdoor crew in the history of the series.

Viewers were not too pleased with Malia during Below Deck Med season 5. They started to turn against her after she brought it to Captain Sandy Yawn's attention that chief steward Hannah Ferrier had illegal Valium and a vape onboard. She even took photographic evidence of what she found. After bringing this matter to the captain, Sandy called in Hannah and fired her immediately. After this incident, viewers completely turned against Malia, calling her a snitch. However, Malia did return for Below Deck Med...

The Best Below Deck Mediterranean Chefs Ranked
Image
There have been several chefs who have been chosen to cook for charter guests and fellow crew members throughout Below Deck Mediterranean, but while some have gone down in Below Deck history for all the wrong reasons, others have stood out for their talent, personality, or both. As the first spin-off in the popular Below Deck franchise, Below Deck Med's fanbase has continued to grow since the show premiered in 2016. While the Below Deck franchise has as much drama and interpersonal conflicts as other reality shows, Below Deck Med and its sister shows, Below Deck Sailing Yacht, Below Deck Down Under, and the new series, Below Deck Adventure, offer exclusive looks into the lucrative but rarely showcased, yacht business.

While every position on Below Deck is essential for the success of each charter season, the biggest and, arguably, the most stressful job besides being the captain is the chef. Each...

Below Deck: 10 Unpopular Opinions, According To Reddit
Image
After the success of Below Deck, Bravo expanded on the series by creating three spinoffs: Below Deck Mediterranean, Below Deck Down Under, and Below Deck Sailing Yacht. While the premise for every show is the same—mega-wealthy guests charter incredible yachts while the crew plans an unforgettable trip for them without failing—each show has its own spin.

Most fans rally behind the popular opinions of the show, but there are always hot takes that got Reddit buzzing.

Updated on November 6th, 2022, by Lynn Gibbs: At BravoCon ’22, it was announced that Below Deck was getting another spinoff, Below Deck Adventure. The series will have a new captain, fresh cast, and take place in Norway. The guests will be those looking for chill-seeking escapades. Why Below Deck Sailing Yacht Season 1 Was A Flop According To Fans
Image
When another Below Deck spin-off was announced, fans were excited, but Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 1 came as a major disappointment to many. Like some of the other spin-offs, Bdsy struggled to find its sea legs in the first season, but won fans over with seasons 2 and 3. From an unlikable crew, stale drama, and a downsized yacht, season 1 did not live up to the rest of the franchise.

Fans were excited to see the drama to come from Bdsy and see the smaller sailing vessel cruise along the waters of Greece. Fans loved watching all the crew and guests struggle to walk when the yacht started tilting on the high seas, but that was where the fun ended. The only returning cast member was Chef Adam Glick, who managed to anger both the chief stew and captain on Below Deck Mediterranean. This charter season, Adam was off to a better...

Below Deck Sailing Yacht alum Adam Glick has a new look that one Below Deck star calls ‘hot’
Image

Below Deck Sailing Yacht alum Adam Glick has a new look that one Below Deck star has called “hot.”

It’s been a couple of years since fans saw Adam on the hit-yachting franchise.

The chef was on Season 2 and Season 3 of Below Deck Mediterranean, causing quite a bit of controversy. Adams will forever be remembered for purposely putting onions in a guest’s food when the preference sheet has no onions.

There’s also his involvement in a love triangle with Malia White and Wes Walton.

After leaving Below Deck Med, Adam helped launch Below Deck Sailing Yacht, but his love life again interfered with his work thanks to his romance with Jenna MacGillivray.

Since Below Deck Sailing Yacht Season 1 ended, Adam has been living a life outside reality television, sporting a much different style.

Below Deck Sailing Yacht alum Jenna MacGillivray engaged, Below Deck stars react to her news
Image
Jenna found her happily ever after. Pic credit: @jennathemac/Instagram

Below Deck Sailing Yacht alum Jenna MacGillivray is engaged, and the Below Deck family has reacted to her exciting news.

Jenna was a one-and-done with Below Deck Sailing Yacht appearing on Season 1 of the yachting show.

Unfortunately for the chief stew, her romance with chef Adam Glick, who was also on Below Deck Mediterranean, didn’t paint her in the best light.

There was tension in the interior crew between stew Madison Stalker and Jenna because of the latter’s relationship with the chef. Stew Georgia Grobler was often caught in the middle.

Although Jenna and Adam left Parsifal III together for a van trip, they split by the Below Deck Sailing Yacht Season 1 reunion.

The past is the past for Jenna. She has been living a low-key life out of the spotlight, which included finding the love of her life.

Warner Horizon Scripted to Be Folded Into Warner Bros Television
Peter Roth
In the latest move to come out of WarnerMedia’s seismic restructuring that began last week, Warner Horizon will merge its scripted operations with Warner Bros. Television.

Both units have operated inside the Warner Bros. TV Group, which will continue to be led by Peter Roth. Warner Horizon focused exclusively on the cable and streaming marketplace, whereas Warner Bros. Television serviced those two, as well as broadcast. The new merged Warner Bros. Television will be led by presidents Susan Rovner and Brett Paul.

Mike Darnell, president of Warner Bros. unscripted and alternative division, will continue to lead Warner Horizon’s unscripted unit, along with Telepictures and Shed Media. While the three will continue to operate independently, physical production, business affairs and finance for all unscripted programming will now be consolidated in a new organizational structure servicing all three labels.

The Below Deck Sailing Yacht Crew Faces Romantic Strife & a Drug Bust in Midseason Tease
Glenn Shephard
There are choppy waters ahead for the Below Deck Sailing Yacht crew. As seen in the exclusive midseason tease above, the drama has only just started for Captain Glenn Shephard and his Parsifal III team. We're talking love triangles, breakups and a potential drug bust. Yep, you read that correctly. For starters, Chief Stewardess Jenna MacGillivray lays into Madison Stalker as she feels she's "carrying" the 2nd stewardess, as well as, Georgia Grobler. Ironically, Madison doesn't think Jenna's being all that professional. Why? Per Madison, Jenna's too busy chasing a romance with chef Adam Glick. "I get it! You want to suck Adam's d--k," Madison snaps in a...
