Sebastian Chacon Dropped By Paradigm, Indie ‘Red Dirt’ In Wake Of Sex Assault Complaint
Image
Exclusive: In the wake of a sexual assault complaint filed against him, actor Sebastian Chacon has been dropped by his reps at Paradigm, and by the indie feature Red Dirt, Deadline can reveal.

Best known for his role as drummer Warren Rojas on the hit Amazon series Daisy Jones & The Six, Chacon remains represented, at present, by attorney Jeff Chabrowe and publicist Siri Garber of Platform PR. While Chacon had also recently been with Robert Stein Management, it’s unclear whether he will carry that working relationship forward, as Stein couldn’t be reached for comment. Deadline will update this post with a statement from him if and when it becomes available.

Exclusive: Aaron Dominguez (Only Murders in the Building), Melissa Fumero (Blockbuster), Alejandro Edda (Narcos: Mexico), Sebastian Chacon (Daisy Jones & The Six), and Carlos Pratts (Fatal Attraction) have been set to star in Red Dirt, an indie action thriller from director Crash Buist (The Stratum) that has been handed an interim agreement from SAG.

Written by Buist, Jonathan Medina (Primo), and Lauren Senechal (The Stratum), the film is a family-driven revenge tale about two brothers, Miguel (Dominguez) and Dom (Edda) who are thrust back together after years apart when their family is murdered by cartel gangsters in a New Mexico border town. The brothers are the only surviving members of a family that dies crossing the border between Mexico and the United States. Upon doing so, they’re found and cared for by a white couple, Brent and Margaret. The backdrop of their struggle arises with the opposing realities of where...

‘Hellblazers’ Review (Tubi Original)
Image
Stars: Tony Todd, Billy Zane, Bruce Dern, Adrienne Barbeau, Ed Morrone, Crash Buist, Danielle Gross, Meg Foster, Courtney Gains, John Kassir, Mike Ferguson | Written and Directed by Justin Lee

Set in the 1980s, somewhere around Christmas, Hellblazers is yet another original offering from Tubi, at least in some territories. Writer/director Justin Lee isn’t exactly somebody I expect a good film from, but even he can’t go wrong with a cast that includes Tony Todd, Billy Zane, Bruce Dern, Adrienne Barbeau and a few other genre vets, can he?

Wheelchair-bound Nam vet Bill Unger (Dern) is out visiting his wife’s grave when he hears something in the woods. He rolls over to the edge of the trees just in time to see Joshua (Zane) and his followers toss someone in a flaming pit, and a demon climbs out. As he aptly puts it, “We’ve got a big problem”.

Of course,...
