A newly released clip from Sour Party gives audiences a first look at The Goonies' Corey Feldman’s eccentric character, Leslie.
The clip, shared by Binge, shows The Lost Boys' Feldman playing a man who seems to be running either a pyramid scheme, a cult, or possibly both. The indie comedy, which has already gained attention for its sharp satire and offbeat humor, promises plenty of unexpected moments, with Feldman delivering one of the film’s most outrageous performances.

A fun new comedy movie is on its way as the new trailer for Sour Party—the award-winning film from creative duo Amanda and Michael Drexton—teases a fresh twist on the buddy comedy genre.
In a new trailer revealed by Flickering Myth, the irreverent buddy comedy dives into the chaotic lives of two broke 30-something women, determined to reclaim their dignity (and finances) as they navigate the pitfalls of Los Angeles. Audiences can look forward to surprising appearances from an iconic Goonies, Gremlins and Stand By Me alum and a comedic musician known for Pitch Perfect and his role as musical director of The Late Late Show with James Corden. Brimming with satirical wit and wild encounters, Sour Party delivers a sharply feminist twist on a traditionally male-dominated genre, setting the stage for one outrageous ride through friendship, family pressure, and ill-advised get-rich-quick schemes.

Anchor Bay Entertainment has acquired the global rights for the comedy “Sour Party,” co-written, directed, and produced by the married duo Amanda and Michael Drexton. “This love-hate letter to Los Angeles is a semi-autobiographical ode to the worst parts of ourselves as told by two self-obsessed, flailing 30-somethings,” said the Drextons.
The film stars Samantha Westervelt, another co-writer of the film, alongside “Pitch Perfect 2” alum Reggie Watts, “Stand By Me” cast member Corey Feldman, and Augie Duke from “Mayans M.C.” The film revolves around two broke women, Gwen (Westervelt) and James (Amanda) in their thirties who embark on a mission to collect money from failing, wannabe artists with the hopes of raising enough to buy an expensive gift for a baby shower thrown for Gwen’s sister. “It is a feminist take on the traditional, male-dominated buddy comedy,” said the Drextons.

Sour Party, the feature debut from co-writers/directors Amanda and Michael Drexton (billed as “The Drextons” in credits), isn’t particularly original in its narrative beats, a “one crazy day” story that takes us to various locations and introduces us to various characters in Los Angeles, but its telling is so specific that it feels special. The film begins with Gwen (co-writer Samantha Westervelt) and James (Amanda Drexton) bemoaning the state of the world and their place in it. They’re women in their 30s who have no direction and are all too aware of the many crises facing the planet and country. But when Gwen’s older sister reminds her of the baby shower she’s supposed to attend, Gwen becomes determined to buy a gift from the registry....
