Mike Love Pays Tribute to Brian Wilson at Songwriters Hall of Fame Induction: “I Do Feel His Presence”
Image
Mike Love gave thanks to his late cousin and Beach Boys bandmate and co-writer Brian Wilson during his Songwriters Hall of Fame induction in New York on Thursday night, telling the crowd of fellow writers and industry insiders that “I do feel his presence” in the room as he accepted his honor.

Love’s induction to the Songwriters Hall of Fame came just a day after Wilson died Wednesday at age 82, and 25 years after Wilson himself was inducted into the Hall back in 2000.

“I especially must thank my cousin Brian Wilson,” Love said Thursday. “My first cousin by blood but brother in music, together we set the stage for some of the most successful music collaborations of all time.”

Love was inducted by John Stamos, a famously huge Beach Boys fan who’s collaborated with the band frequently. In his induction speech, Stamos said that Love chronicled “the American dream” with the songs he wrote.

Shaboozey Explains His Eyeroll After Megan Moroney’s Comment at AMAs
Image
After country star Megan Moroney said that the Carter family “invented country music” at the American Music Awards on Monday night, singer Shaboozey was caught rolling his eyes. Now, the 30-year-old is speaking out about his reaction. “The Bar Song” singer and Moroney presented the award for Favorite Country Duo or Group, which was won by Dan + Shay, on May 26. Shaboozey couldn’t help but react to what Moroney read off the teleprompter before they announced the winner. “Country music has been an important part of Ama history,” he said. “The very first year of this show, the award for Favorite Male Country Artist went to the great Charley Pride.” “That same year, Favorite Female [Country] Artist went to Lynn Anderson,” Moroney said. “And this award went to the Carter Family, who basically invented country music.” At the latter half of the statement, Shaboozey rolled his eyes and gave a curt laugh.

Shaboozey’s Reaction to Megan Moroney Saying the Carter Family Invented Country Music at AMAs Goes Viral
Image
Fans were quick to clock Shaboozey’s reaction to Megan Moroney saying the Carter Family invented country music while presenting at the 2025 American Music Awards Monday night.

The awkward moment happened when the two singers were presenting the award for favorite country duo or group, which ultimately went to Dan + Shay.

“Country music has been an important part of Ama history. The very first year of this show, the award for favorite male country artist went to the great Charlie Pride,” Shaboozey read from the teleprompter first.

Moroney was up next, reading, “That same year, favorite female artist went to Lynn Anderson, and this award [favorite country duo or group] went to the Carter family, who basically invented country music.”

It was that last line that seemingly caught the “A Bar Song (Tipsy)” singer by surprise, as he appeared to give her a side eye before pausing to process what she said and letting...

“I saw live s*x happen that night”: Comedian Details What He Saw at P. Diddy’s Freak-off Party

The past has teeth, and they bite hardest when you pretend it won’t bark. We won’t sugarcoat it; some pasts just hit differently. And Jeff Wittek’s tale of Diddy’s freak-show soirée was one of those nights where your jaw drops, your eyebrows hit the ceiling, and your moral compass goes into a full spin. While Sean Combs, aka Diddy, pleads “not guilty” to charges of s*x trafficking, racketeering, and pr*titution, his past is unraveling like a badly tied bow tie.

Jury selection for the May 12 trial has already spotlighted over 100 potential witness names; even Justin Bieber got tangled in the whispers. And as Diddy’s lawyer cries “witch hunt,” it’s safe to say that this isn’t just smoke; it’s scorched earth.

Post Malone and Morgan Wallen poised to win their first Grammys for their collab ‘I Had Some Help’
Image
Country voters at the Grammys have always been somewhat accepting of relative outsiders. Pop artists like Pink, Kelly Clarkson and Bebe Rexha have earned nominations in the country field, and Justin Bieber has won. This year Best Country Duo/Group Performance seems to be led by genre-hopping acts. Will the Academy lean into those, or will the country establishment prefer to stick with “their own”?

SEEWho will have the Grammys’ favorite song from visual media? Jon Batiste, watch out for Olivia Rodrigo
