Luke Bryan, country singer and judge of American Idol, was hit in the face by an object thrown from the crowd during his North Dakota State Fair appearance. While fans are outraged, he’s in good company when it comes to random attacks on musicians during live concerts.
Fans Are Outraged
The video that showed something hitting Luke quickly went viral, and many outlets reported on it. It’s not clear what was thrown, but folks who saw screenshots think it might have been a half-eaten apple. Although he carried on as if nothing had happened, that doesn’t make it right, and plenty of people on YouTube wondered, “What is wrong with these people?”

Travis Kelce had some trouble behind the scenes when hosting “Saturday Night Live” in 2023.
During a recent interview on the “Bussin’ with the Boys” podcast, the Kansas City Chiefs tight end said that the “hardest” part of hosting “SNL” was the pre-show table read because he “can’t really read that well.”
“The writers’ rooms were fun because you’re just getting pitched ideas,” Kelce explained. “The table reading, for a guy that can’t really read that well, it was kind of a fucked situation.”
“I felt like I was just trying to get through the reading instead of actually acting it out and giving it a voice and giving it a character and things like that,” he added. “I was just focused on, ‘Don’t fucking skip this line.'”
Kelce hosted the 14th episode of “SNL” Season 48 on March 4, 2023. He was joined by musical guest Kelsea Ballerini.

“Doctor Odyssey” has been canceled after one season on ABC.
Since April, the Ryan Murphy-created medical drama has been the network’s only scripted series for which a renewal or cancellation had not been announced, and Variety has now confirmed that the cast’s contracts expire on Monday with no move from ABC to put the series back on its schedule for the upcoming year.
The news also comes after three of the show’s former crew members filed a lawsuit against Disney and 20th Television on May 30, alleging that the studio enabled an “unchecked campaign of sexual harassment for months” and accusing assistant prop master Tyler Patton of making “sexual jokes, innuendos, comments, sexual gestures and images” in addition to “unwanted touching” including “openly grabbing a visiting female employee’s buttocks.”

Kelsea Ballerini made her debut as a coach on The Voice during Season 27, but it was a one-and-done deal for the country star (for now). Ballerini is not part of the coaches panel for Season 28, but has a good reason for not returning. “I need a break,” the “Baggage” singer said on Today With Jenna & Friends. “And I’ve never been able to say that before, but I really think it’s just time for me to pump the brakes, figure out what’s next, have a summer, what? Go to the beach? Huh? Learn to cook a new meal, hang out with the dogs. So that’s kind of my agenda.” It’s been a whirlwind year for Ballerini. Amid filming the pre-taped episodes of The Voice, she promoted and released her album Patterns, which came out in October 2024. She toured the album during the first half of...

The letter comes following an April news report about the leaked draft of the budget of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.. The draft reportedly calls for plans to eliminate all funding for LGBTQ youth suicide prevention services through 988, a federal program that provides emergency crisis support to LGBTQ+ youth considering suicide.
“As artists, creators, and public figures, our platforms come with responsibility. And today, that responsibility is clear: we must speak out to protect the mental health and lives of LGBTQ+ youth,” the beginning of the letter reads, in part. “We will not stay silent.”

"I am so happy," Adam David tells Gold Derby after winning The Voice Season 27 on May 20 (listen above). "What is playing out right now are things that I've dreamed of since I was a little kid. At least right now, I'm having fun, I'm having a really good time. I'm definitely overwhelmed."
David readily admits that he "didn't know" he was going to be named the winner, particularly after he had to fight for his life in the competition via the Instant Save the prior week. "I wasn't in that purely confident space of, 'I've got this, I'm definitely winning.' I wanted it, but honestly it could have been any one of us."

When Blake Shelton shared the news of his decision to step back from The Voice – after being one of four coaches on the show from 2011 to 2023 – he made it sound like he wasn’t coming back, or even if he was it would be for some really special episode like a reunion take or something.
But no, shortly after Maroon 5 frontman Adam Levine shocked fans by coming back on The Voice, the ‘Happy Anywhere’ hitmaker shared that he’s returning for the very next season.
I think someone desperately misses his old rivalry with the “Sugar” vocalist and would love nothing more than to get back into the flow of things. Joke’s on him because Levine didn’t wait to get on the hot seat to start dishing it out.

Honestly, it feels like the perfect fit. She’s got the talent, the heart, and the storytelling chops to guide the next generation of artists. Plus, who doesn’t want to be mentored by someone who’s actually been in their shoes?

Blues rocker Adam David just owned the mic and the moment. The 34-year-old from Fort Lauderdale snagged the crown on The Voice Season 27, bringing Team Bublé its second consecutive win. Michael Bublé is two-for-two as a coach.
The finale was packed with powerhouse performances, emotional duets, and all the fire you’d expect from a live showdown. But in the end, it was Adam David who barely squeaked into the finale via an Instant Save, who stunned the crowd by taking it all. When Carson Daly announced his name, David looked completely blindsided. “I was just hugging every single person,” David told Entertainment Weekly after the win. “It could have easily been anybody… it was a real surreal moment.”

Each of The Voice coaches — John Legend, Michael Bublé, Kelsea Ballerini, and Adam Levine — had a stake in who’d be crowned the show’s newest champion in the Tuesday, May 20, finale. But after Jadyn Cree, Lucia Flores-Wiseman, and Renzo were eliminated, it came down to Jaelen Johnston, who was coached by Ballerini, and Adam David, who was coached by Bublé. All eyes were on host Carson Daly as he prepared to announce the name of the winner. “It’s funny,” Michael Bublé told TV Insider right after the live broadcast. “I don’t think I’ve ever stared at Carson Daly’s lips so intensely. I was hoping he’d start to say ‘A’ [as in Adam]. I was literally looking at his lips.” What was going through David’s mind when it was just him and Johnston left? “I was hoping that my name would be called,” he simply stated. Looking forward,...

Adam Levine’s name almost became synonymous with The Voice at one point in time. As an original coach on the TV show’s 2011 premiere, he quickly established his position as a mentor who knew how to win, guiding his team to victory in Seasons 1, 5, and 9. What many viewers don’t realize, though, is just how steep the fall after the peak was.
Despite his early dominance over the Top 3, Levine went through a dry spell that stretched across multiple consecutive seasons. And just how dry was the spell? His contestants didn’t just not come in first, they failed to even reach the Top 3. In the high-stakes, harsh world of televised singing competitions, Levine’s downward spiral after a few good seasons is hard to ignore.

Going into the Season 27 finale of The Voice, my favorite was Team Adam Levine’s brilliant but polarizing Lucia Flores-Wiseman. But I couldn’t help but root for the underdog, Jaelen Johnston, who’d been ignominiously eliminated by coach Kelsea Ballerini in the Playoffs, only to get voted back into the competition after receiving a Super Save.
The general consensus, though — based on how y’all voted in TVLine’s polls — is that not only will Team Michael Bublé’s Jadyn Cree win, she should win, too. (I don’t get it, but to each, their own.) Team Bublé’s...
