Well, the show must keep on rolling…rolling. Ari Groover, who is an understudy for Tina: The Tina Turner Musical on Broadway, shared a clip of her wig flying off during the March 18 performance as she hit the signature dance moves from Tina Turner's 1971 hit, "Proud Mary." Without missing a step, Groover, who usually plays the character Alline, quickly picked up the wig, threw it to the side and kept performing right on beat. Stage actor and writer Sidney DuPont has gathered a group of Broadway and Off Broadway performers to launch “The Walkout Project,” a movement to urge the exclusive patronage of Black-owned businesses on July 4.
DuPont and a large ensemble that includes Hamilton’s Tamar Greene and Jared Dixon have recorded the new song and music video “Walkout,” dropping tomorrow on the holiday.

We have done this to elevate in the workplace, for better housing opportunities, and for the basic safety of our lives and our Black children’s lives. The Off Broadway revival of Little Shop of Horrors, already sold out well before its first preview on Sept. 17, has released an additional eight weeks of tickets, producers announced today. Tickets for the landmark Howard Ashman & Alan Menken musical, set for the Westside Theatre and starring Jonathan Groff, Tammy Blanchard and Christian Borle, are now on sale through Sunday, January 19, 2020.
Directed by Tony winner Michael Mayer, Little Shop officially opens on Thursday, October 17. As previously announced, Tony nominee Gideon Glick (To Kill A Mockingbird) will join the production for a two-week (November 5 through November 17) as Seymour while Groff is on a scheduled leave.
