'Sweet Magnolias' Season 2 Recap Before Season 3

Netflix’s Sweet Magnolias follows best friends Maddie Townsend (JoAnna Garcia Swisher), Helen Decatur (Heather Headley), and Dana Sue Sullivan (Brooke Elliott) as they live their busy, dramatic, and emotional lives in the fictional small town of Serenity, South Carolina. While Maddie’s romance with Coach Cal Maddox (Justin Bruening) is off to a hot start, Dana Sue and Helen aren’t so lucky in their love lives. Dana Sue continues to reel from her husband Ronnie’s (Brandon Quinn) infidelity while striking up a new romance with farmer Jeremy (Chase Anderson), while Helen and her first love Ryan (Michael Shenefelt) officially end their on-and-off-again romance because she wants children and he does not. However, she also has Dana Sue’s sous chef Erik (Dion Johnstone) quietly and patiently trying to win her heart.

Ray Hughes Management Rebrands As Rhm, Enlists Kevin Kitsis As Talent Manager

Ray Hughes Management has rebranded as Rhm and has brought aboard Kevin Kitsis as the company’s newest talent manager. The boutique talent management company announced its rebranding and Kitsis’ hire on Thursday.

Coming to Rhm from APA, Kitsis will help build out the company’s acting division and service the roster in additional areas including digital, brand entertainment, podcasting, publishing and more.

Among Kitsis’ clients are Hannah Alline, Chase Anderson, Mahdi Cocci and Brock O’Hurn (Euphoria).

Kitsis will be based in Rhm’s Los Angeles office.

Sweet Magnolias is officially getting a second season! On July 23, Netflix announced that the popular drama has been renewed for another season. The news comes a few months after showrunner Sheryl J. Anderson cryptically tweeted that she was working on new material.

Sweet Magnolias follows best friends Maddie Townsend (JoAnna Garcia Swisher), Dana Sue Sullivan (Brooke Elliott), and Helen Decatur (Heather Headley) through the ups and downs of divorce, starting a business, and trying to raise a family in the small town of Serenity.
