Chad (Chord Overstreet) comes to Máximo about concerns over the changes that are limiting the staff, as seen in the video above. “Hermingo, I gotta tell you, I’m getting a lot of pushback on these new guidelines,” Chad tells Máximo, who is now in charge of operations at the hotel after Season 3’s finale saw Don Pablo (Damián Alcázar) removed from his position as well as owner Diane Davies (Jessica Collins). “They aren’t allowing the staff to do the jobs they normally do,...

Acapulco Season 4 Review — A Fun Final Season Keeps a Winning Formula Intact
Image
As one of the sleeper hits from Apple TV+, Acapulco looks to conclude its four-season run on a high note. The brilliantly pink hotel is home to an eighties nostalgia fever dream, complete with comedic narration from Eugenio Derbez. Drawing inspiration from How to Be a Latin Lover, the bilingual series has been far more nuanced in its storytelling and fun in its deployment of comedic conventions. While the series has set a nice benchmark for Apple TV+ comedies, the final season proves that more care should be taken in landing the plane. While it’s an enjoyable season, the ending comes far too abruptly.

Acapulco Season 4 Plot

Told across two storylines, the adventures of Máximo Ramos as he attempts to save the Las Colinas Resort. In the 1980s, Máximo (Enrique Arrizon) attempts to balance his new role as Head of Operations with his relationship with Julia (Camila Perez). While...

Image
[Warning: The below contains Major spoilers for Acapulco Season 3, Episode 10, “Burning Down the House.”] Acapulco‘s third season has come to a close, and with it a chapter in the Las Colinas story as the installment saw Don Pablo (Damián Alcázar) and Diane (Jessica Collins) ousted from their positions as Alejandro Vera (Jaime Camil) took ownership of the resort, recruiting young Maximi (Enrique Arrizon) as Head of Operations in the ’80s. Ultimately, this was the defining event of Maximo’s young life as he had to live with the consequences of his actions, one of which was revealing Don Pablo’s secret ledger to Alejandro.
