Haruko Ichikawa’s magnum opus, Land of the Lustrous, has reached its last chapter, titled “Houseki no Kuni,” in the June edition of Monthly Afternoon. After a fantastic twelve years, the series has come to an end. It was published by Kodansha, and the final chapter became available in Japan on April 25. Land of the Lustrous was one of Ichikawa’s best works.

The last volume, volume 13, will be available in Japan in the fall of 2024. Land of the Lustrous is set in an action fantasy world occupied by crystalline living things known as the Lustrous. Each unique gem must struggle for their way of life against the danger of lunarians who want to make them into decorations.

Haruko Ichikawa’s Land of the Lustrous manga will conclude its run in the upcoming June issue of Kodansha’s Monthly Afternoon magazine with chapter 108 slated for release on April 25, 2024, after 12 years of serialization.

The announcement was made in the May issue of Monthly Afternoon, which was released on March 25, 2024.

The preview page featured in the May issue revealed a special message to all the readers of the manga: “Next issue, the conclusion of Land of the Lustrous. I have been captivated by the delicate yet resilient gems engaged in battle. Since the serialization began in 2012 —— I couldn’t take my eyes off Phosphophyllite. The life on earth that has continued for a long time, changing its shape and form over an incredible amount of time, will come to a close in the next issue…!“

The Pokémon Trading Card Game is releasing the Vstar Universe set in Japan, and many of its Secret Rare cards have already been revealed in retail listings. Following the release of the Pokémon Silver Tempest Tcg expansion in November, Japan is going to get one final Sword and Shield set called Vstar Universe. Although the collection isn't set to hit stores until December, many of its rare Full Art cards have been leaked online months before its launch.
