Glen Powell turns “extremely ugly” for his upcoming comedy series, Chad Powers. The teaser for Powell’s forthcoming project is out, and it shows the American actor, otherwise known for his good looks and charming personality, donning a fake moustache, curly wigs, and bulky prosthetics to go undercover and join a new football team.
Inspired by Eli Manning’s viral alter ego, the series revolves around Russ Holliday (Glen Powell), a failed college football quarterback who goes ‘disguise mode’ to restart his football career. Going incognito for career, comedy, and witty…very Hannah Montana-ish. Looks like Powell’s coming series is that kind of comedy, Miley Cyrus might want to distance herself from.

Glen Powell is taking on what might be his most challenging performance yet in Chad Powers: playing an “extremely ugly” person.
In Hulu‘s first teaser for the upcoming comedy series, the first two episodes premiering Sept. 30 on the streaming platform, the Golden Globe nominee plays hotshot quarterback Russ Holliday, who disguises himself as the titular football player to join a new team after tanking his own college career.
Debuting during game four of the NBA Finals, the teaser sees Russ getting dragged on social media after dropping the ball during a crucial play.
“Everyone says I’m done with football,” he says in the teaser. “There’s no such thing as bad press.”
Getting fitted for a wig and a prosthetic nose, Powell’s leading jock proclaims, “If I can’t play as Russ, I’ll play as someone else.”

Chad Powerswas born as a successful sketch on Epsn that had Eli Manning wearing bad prosthetics and walking on at Penn State with no one knowing who it was. Now, the idea is getting its very own Hulu series from Michael Waldronstarring Glen Powellas Russ Holliday, a failed quarterback who is trying to get a second chance at it all. Manning is part of the series as an executive producer, and the rest of the cast includes Perry Mattfeld as Ricky, Quentin Plair as Coach Byrd, Wynn Everett as Tricia, Frankie A. Rodriguez as Danny, and Steve Zahn as Jake Hudson. The series is not exactly like the Manning sketch, but it is still very much what the Chad Powers bit feels like.

Earlier this summer, Hulu shared the first look at Chad Powers, starring Glen Powell, and we all became instantly interested in the upcoming comedy. What updates have surfaced since? We’re here to help you keep up with everything to know about Chad Powers so far.

That said, the first look did not discourage us from pinning the comedy so we can check back as more details are known.
