Hulu has released a first look at Glen Powell in character for the comedy series Chad Powers.

In the half-hour show, co-created and executive produced by Powell and Michael Waldron, when bad behavior nukes hotshot Qb Russ Holliday’s (Powell) college career, he disguises himself and walks onto a struggling Southern football team as the talented, affable Chad Powers.

The comedy series is based on the sketch produced by NFL Films and Omaha Productions that aired on ESPN+ as part of the Eli’s Places series.

Manning serves as executive producer along with Omaha Productions’ Peyton Manning, Jamie Horowitz, Ben Brown, and ESPN. Waldron, who co-wrote the pilot script with Powell, and Adam Fasullo are producing for Anomaly Pictures. Powell is an executive producer under his production co-banner Brainstorm.

Glen Powell is nearly unrecognizable in the first look at his upcoming Hulu series “Chad Powers.”

The show was ordered to series at the streamer back in February. Powell will star in the series in addition to co-creating and co-writing the pilot with Michael Waldron, with both serving as executive producers.

The show is based on the Chad Powers character created by Eli Manning for his Epsn+ docuseries “Eli’s Places.”

The official description for the series states, “When bad behavior nukes hotshot Qb Russ Holliday’s (Powell) college career, he disguises himself and walks onto a struggling Southern football team as the talented, affable Chad Powers.”

Along with Powell, the series will also star Steve Zahn, Toby Huss, Perry Mattfeld, Wynn Everett, Frankie A. Rodriguez, and Quentin Plair.

Rodriguez (High School Musical: The Musical: The Series) have been tapped as leads opposite Glen Powell in Chad Powers, Hulu‘s upcoming half-hour comedy series based on an Eli Manning sketch that aired on ESPN+. Mattfeld will play the sweet and smart Ricky, the first female assistant football coach in Catfish History (University of Nashville) who is also the daughter of Catfish Head Coach, Jake Hudson (Zahn).
