Malcolm Holt(IV)

Malcolm Holt was a latecomer to independent film making, having retired after 35 years in the day job. His first film, a short comedy 'Call of the Nightbird', filmed late in 2017 and directed by Peter Kane, was completed in 2018. Filmed early in 2018, the short family comedy film, 'Don't Mess with Lucy', written and directed by Malcolm, won awards at several film festivals. A sequel, 'Don't Mess with Lucy #2', was filmed in April 2018. The third and final 'Don't Mess with Lucy' film was filmed in March 2019. Malcolm wrote the screenplay for a horror feature film, 'Can You Smell The Flowers?', which won 'Best Screenplay' awards at several film festivals during 2017 and 2018. Production in the USA was halted by the Coronavirus pandemic. Malcolm wrote the screenplay for and directed a short drama film 'Keep Me in Your Heart' which was filmed in 2019. Malcolm has also written two award winning short drama screenplays, 'My Ride's Here' and 'On The Other Side Of The Mountain', both of which are yet to be filmed. He is now writing a new short comedy drama, 'Relatively Speaking'.
