Biography

    • Rafe is an American and South African actor, musician, writer, and filmmaker. Before he began his career, he attended The Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute in New York City. Lola Cohen, the author of 'The Lee Strasberg Notes,' claimed he was an actor "who has dedicated himself and committed to his exceptional talent." Other teachers included renowned Stanislavsky scholar Robert Ellerman and actor Vincent D'Onofrio. Through Mr D'Onofrio's generosity, Rafe was given the opportunity to attend the institute on a scholarship. Since Rafe's graduation, he's been in numerous short films-including his own-commercials, television series, web series, and feature films.

His first feature film was 'Menagerie' (2019) and afterwards 'Goodbye Honey,' which debuted at the Dances with Films Festival in 2020. In 2021, Rafe was awarded Best Supporting Actor in the film by The Garden State Film Festival. Since then he has worked on the History Channel series 'FDR and the Yellowstone origin story '1923.'

But his passion does not only lie in the world of acting. Rafe is a musician, who was accepted to Berklee College of Music before his decision to move to New York. Rafe has also worked for the Peace Appeal Foundation-organizing drama therapy sessions for refugees in Thailand, Myanmar and Syria-and has started his own small-scale film production company Lion's Tale Productions based out of Cape Town, South Africa. With these crafts, Rafe aspires to be "an artist of many mediums," as his career progresses.
