Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s love story has inspired a love story just in time for the holidays. Christmas in the Spotlight, which takes inspiration from the famous couple, will be part of Lifetime’s star-studded “It’s a Wonderful Lifetime” lineup. The release date has been announced for the film, as well as streaming information.

Love, Music, & Football For The Holiday Season

The film doesn’t directly involve Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce, but presents a familiar love story involving a pop star and a football player. In the film, Jessica Lord plays Bowyn, a musician who has made a career singing about life. The irony is, however, that her music career has ended up getting in the way of her love life.

However, Bowyn might just find a chance at love when she meet a football player, Drew, backstage at one of her concerts, while with his niece.

Uptv has announced their 12 movies for the 2024 Most Uplifting Christmas ever. In addition, the network will have over 500 hours of holiday programming that kicks off on November 1. Hector Campos, SVP of Content Strategy and Acquisition at Up Entertainment promises a lot of holiday fun.

“Our curated collection of uplifting movies provides a relaxing escape where not only will viewers see great holiday romances, but also they’ll get so much more as our movies highlight the true meaning of Christmas and that the magic isn’t just about that final kiss.”

Pro wrestling legend Chris Jericho is set to star in the upcoming UPtv original movie “Country Hearts,” Variety has learned exclusively.

The film, which will premiere this fall, follows “the daughters of country music and rock & roll royalty who find themselves at a crossroads, torn between following their dreams of performing or helping their father run their up-and-coming horse breeding business,” per the official description. “Between old flames, new love, best friends and family – they’ll all need the strength of each other to face the next steps.”

Along with Jericho, the cast for the film also includes Lanie McAuley, Katerina Maria, Brendan Morgan, Jeff Irving, Craig Strickland, David Pinard, Michelle Nolden, Genevieve Fisher, Roy Lewis, Lara Amersey, Greg Ellwand, Bebsabe Duque, Celine Bauwmans, and Neil Whitely. Full House alum Jodie Sweetin has another too-close-for-comfort situation in Lifetime‘s Merry Swissmas, a lovely original that kicks off the cable net’s “It’s a Wonderful Lifetime” holiday movie season. She stars as a Chicago-based architect named Alex who heads to snowy Switzerland, where her mom is planning to open an inn by New Year’s. Lifetime is upping its holiday movie game by adding three movies to its 2022 It’s a Wonderful Lifetime movie slate, which will include a reunion of Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman stars Jane Seymour and Joe Lando in a flick executive produced by Toni Braxton.

A Christmas Spark follows a widow (Seymour) who has lost her zest for life and given up on ever finding love again. She reluctantly takes on the job of directing the town’s Christmas pageant and soon finds herself falling for her leading man (Lando), the town’s most eligible bachelor.

A Christmas Spark is produced by Lighthouse Pictures and is being distributed by Sony Pictures Television. Braxton, Stephen Bulka and Jamie Goehring are executive producing. Rhonda Baraka directs from a script by Eirene Tran Donohue.
