Collin O'Brien is an Emmy Award winning Producer, Writer, Director and 1st AD with nine years of experience in feature-length, short, documentary, and commercial films with major studios, in addition to developing a personal production company used for producing and advertising creative content using scripts, shorts, pitch decks, and more, across multiple social-media platforms. Collin's proficiency in sales, effective technical skills, stemming from his background in engineering, and drive for quality all allow for him to become a key member and servant leader within any production team, across genres, at the intersection of film, business, and engineering.
His career began in an unusual discipline where he worked as a field engineer for an energy operations company after receiving a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering. After a few years, and many story worthy experiences later, his passion for film inspired him to leave his oilfield career and join the film industry. Since then, he has spent the last several years practicing his craft and has created award-winning films, including Finding Happy, The Bounty, and Prairie Pirates.
