Maarten is a Dutch film director, producer and cinematographer with over 17 years of experience in cinematic storytelling. From a young age, he was captivated by the power of the lens. This interest sparked by his father, who introduced him to photography with an old analog reflex camera. That early passion quickly evolved into a deep fascination with moving images, leading Maarten to experiment with analog and digital video formats throughout his youth.
After graduating from the Inholland Academy, Maarten began his career in the music industry, directing music videos for numerous well-known artists. His visual style and narrative instincts soon caught the attention of the corporate world, where he developed compelling content for both national and international brands.
Today, Maarten is expanding his focus to include feature films, documentary series, and narrative shorts. While he believes in the power of storytelling, his true passion lies in crafting fast-paced action sequences, dynamic camera movements and unexpected storyline twists that captivate and entertain audiences.
